I just hope you're not sharing a caravan with them:w00t:

My OH's nan and grandad are lovely.

They have plenty of money, so i wouldn't mind them coming on holiday with us.

No, not too good a mix :?

No, but then my ex's nan is housebound and his grandad has a wooden leg, so I can't imagine it would be the most exciting of holidays if I did... I'll stick to taking the kids round to visit them instead

Last time we went round to see them it was 'arranged' that we would go to their caravan in Scotland somewhere for August Bank Holiday. I wasn't asked if i wanted to go or even if i could get time off work for it and as it turns out I can't but OH is annoyed that I 'don't want to go'.

The thing is it's 2 weeks before we fly to Cuba to get married and I wasn't able to go to Glasto/Reading or our annual trip to Brixham because we had to consider the wedding!!! I've offered to stay at home and look after the cats but he wont go without me.

His nan and grandad are lovely but I dont think I can survive a whole weekend with them - they're feeders and I have a dress to fit in to!!!

Just think about your dress before you eat.

Once went on holidays with my brother in laws parents to Florida. Was absolutely dreading it as I was in my thirties and they were early seventies. Needn't have worried had a fantastic time. Oldies ain't that bad, and remember you'll be that age one day. :-D

    Nope.

My OHs grandparents have both been dead nearly 10 years, so think we would get some strange looks (at best) if we went on holiday with them :w00t:

jus do it.... why have this lil ruckass/ad air efore ur big day......keep it sweet... and maybe at lunchtime u can eat outside and therefore jus stick the food in a carrier bag near you, or go eat out and say uve eaten... or just be straight up honest and say sorry im dieting.... grandad will back off and fingers xd granny will understand?!

its 3 days.... id say keep it sweet so ur wedding goes without a hitch!

well i guess we'll have to come to some sort of compromise...i'll have to speak to him later

I know he wants to go and spend some time with his nan but i'm not too impressed that he said we couldn't go away this year and suddenly he's changed his tune..

he's lovely and we always get on so well, never a bad word between us so it's a shame when things like this start happening

Sounds like you might be marrying, someone who likes to change his mind.

Typical man, my man said he didn't want to go out yesterday afternoon, so i went to a friend's instead.

Then he rang me, when i got there and said he now wanted to go out.

    Men!

say you're concerned about putting on weight before the wedding.
