Strange request regarding empty toner cartridges...

Hi All

Our office has loads of empty toner cartridges and bottles from various printers and copiers (mainly HP 4250 printers and Konica Monolta Bizhub C450 copiers).

Does anyone know of anywhere that pays to recylce these. I have googled and emailed a few companies, but no one has got back to me. Anyone used any places to do this before and have good experiences?

Thanks

Foxy

There were about 5 or 6 companies I emailed around 1 month ago. I still haven't heard a dicky bird...

I think Staples recycle cartridges and issue discount vouchers for future purchase in their stores. But I could be wrong...

give the empty cartridges to charity. The financial gain for you will be small, but it could do something for the greater good.

Check your local hospital childrens ward or hospice for collections.

we contacted the childrens charity for brain damaged children (cant remember their name- think its something like BIBC?) but they send a box to your office and when you have 7 or more you ring them and they arainge collection. We send printer and fax machine cartrages

[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif][COLOR=#000099][SIZE=2]Did you know that your old inkjet and laser print cartridges could make a real difference to children with severe learning difficulties?

By sending your used ink cartridges in to BIBIC you could help a child who desperately needs our support. Over the last year, donations of cartridges have made it possible for another 24 children and their families to be helped at BIBIC.

For every cartridge that you donate we can recover up to £5, which can be put towards a child’s progress.

If you are interested in joining the ‘Toner Donor’ scheme please email BIBIC now and ask for a freepost envelope or returns box - there is absolutely no cost to you - and incredible benefits to BIBIC families.
Remember, your school, college or work may be willing to act as a collection point - why not ask them?
