Student tickets for west end show & Tube tickets victoria coach station

Has anyone had to student standby tickets for any shows in the west end we want to go and see the lion king and after googling around a bit i found one site saying that if you turn up an hour or 2 before the show they will give you seats in the stalls for £20-£30 if anyone has done this which shows have you done it for?

Also with the dayoutguide 2 for 1s where is the nearest national rail station to victoria coach station so that i can get my underground tickets with the national rail logo on.

    Thank you.

    Anyone ?

I havent ever done that - but been to lots of shows in the westend and believe it or not the worse seats we ever had was in the front row for Dirty Dancing - was too close and stage was quite high. Other than that - u will get a good view wherever you sit.

Is it in the Lyceum theatre? If so, that seats around 2000 - u will get a good seat
