Hi all,

Me and my girlfriend have just booked up to go away to Turkey for 10 days all inclusive, in a 4 star hotel for under 400 quid
The hotel is in alanya and we fly into antalya, so was wondering if anyone had any experience over there and if theres anything that we should do or anything that we should give a miss.

Thanks in advance

Wow thats cheap, sorry not been there,

The boat trips are excellent and stupidly cheap-last summer it was about 15 quid each for an entire day boat trip, stopping off at 5 locations allowing you to swim and included lunch and unlimited soft drinks(they charge extra for beer). You can also swim with dolphins on a half day trip-cost was 40 quid each including a cdrom with 100 pictures of the experience.

My advice-do NOT book any trips with your holiday rep-far cheaper to ask a waiter/barman in hotel to organise it for you-you will get a far better price for day trips and in the markets if you have euros/sterling/dollars to pay with rather than turkish lira.

You want to tell us who you booked through?

never been but my mums neighbour used to go every year to turkey, dont know which region. they love it, friendly and cheap they said!

Thanks, the boat trip thing sounds really good actually, ive never been to turkey before so just trying to get away somewhere nice where theres a few things for us to do

We went to Lara Beach Antalya last year and its superb. Food was lovely,Hotel was excellent, Weather was HOT and the Turks go out of their way to help. You will need £10 each when you arrive at the airport for a visa after that everything is cheap. We took Turkish Lira but they have everything priced in Euros and seemed happy to take both. Have a Great time.

Theres always some that complain, already checked everything out. Most of the people who complained, complained about the staff, but im sure if your nice to them theyll be nice to you:)

Hi
We went to Marmaris a couple of years ago it was wonderful, we did the boat trip barky mentioned it was a fantastic day and the food provided was great, we also went to the mud baths it was really fun the kids loved it, you actually float on the mud its really weird! We all went for it and spread the mud all over ourselves then you get out and bake in the sun until it dries and cracks then you walk through really powerful showers (like a jet wash for humans) then you go for a dip in the natural hot springs we were in there for ages! when you have finished your skin feels amazing! A tip if you do go tell your girlfriend to wear an old bikini because the mud can stain!
Have a great time

I have been to that part of Turkey a good few years ago. Great memories of that holiday. I remember being told that this part of Turkey is where a lot of Turks come for their own holiday! Beaches were so clean and lots of fun to be had on the jet skis, banana rides, donuts etc.

There was a Turkish man selling boat trips, who had married a Scot and when he heard our accents he was jumping up and down with exitement and gave us our boat trip mega cheap. As Barky said, dont book anything with your rep - book it all when you are there and direct but definitely go on a boat trip! Have a great holiday!

Most of the reviews are just daft and dont make any sense, and thats the ones posted by the brittish people, have to have a good laugh at how some things are spelt and not all of it can be put down to typos or there is a case of serious retardation with the people who can get on to write a review
