Hey people, looking for a surround sound system, for my Xbox 360, using Optical input. Any cheap ones about, really dont wanna spend 100+... Got speakers already so if anyone can find a amp then even better

Hi mate. I'm in same boat. Want SS for 360 but I don't have speakers. What do I need and any tips where from and cost? (lowest plz-skint!)

How do you claim 2 games?

I love this system but im skint!

Are the games old ie Kameo or newish titles ie. GOW

Gonna be hard pushed to get speakers that do surround with the Xbox 360, only good ones i know of are the Pioneer posted above and 3 sets of Logitech speakers, the Z5500, Z5450 and Z5400 and none of them are particularly cheap (£150+). I'd go for the Pioneer, at £150 thats a stonking deal!

Only other ways to do it are connecting your Xbox to an amp or pc sound card or dropping the surround sound and going for a cheaper 2.1 setup (can get VERY good 2.1 kit for £100)

The problem with the Xbox 360 and sound is that it only has a choice of Optical (for surround sound) or RCA for stereo. Would have been nice to have surround RCA

EDIT: The 2 free games for the Pioneer system are Need For Speed: Most Wanted and Burnout Revenge

Based on price Spherex is the best on the markert were on play.com for £250 in the sale down from £300, think they are half the price in the USA.

Pioneer is best for £150 if you can strech your budget to them...

other than that, you can get refurb creative ones for about 60 quid on ebay.

Or... Argos sell acostic solutions 5.1 with optical in for about 80 quid... but obvious drop in quality.

Oh ****** !!!! I bought one of these Pioneer systems before xmas, but have no idea what Ive done with the receipt so I wont be able to get my 2 free games..... :x

speak to them nicely Nige and see what they can do for you

Closing Date - the closing date to purchase the HTP-GS1 is Sunday 31st … Closing Date - the closing date to purchase the HTP-GS1 is Sunday 31st December 2006 January 2007 .

is it not expired?

These are the best out there for sub £200 !!

I know a few of us have got these and they sre fantastic (THX certified). I'm watching Star Wars with my 360 linked up to these now & they are pure class mate - sound is perfect (and i'm only on about 20%) - they dont distort even at 100%

No mention of any free games, or have i missed something?
