Swarovski Jewellery

Hi
I brought a necklace from Swarovski a couple of months ago and a couple of days ago one of the crystals fell off. Does anyone know what Swarovski policy is on this? As I know they don't cover wear and tear and I am not too sure if this is wear and tear?

Also if they were to fixed it, has anyone had experience of how long it takes to fix?

Thanks guys!!

i wouoldnt say this was ware and tear more like a manafacture fault as over a few months should defo not happen, and as for fixing if you took to a shop they should be able to do fairly quickly as i guess would only be a reset and glue job poss half a day. if sending/taking back to swarov i would hope they replaced it straight away as i suspect its wasnt overly cheap

havent dealt with them but if you only bought it a few months ago and irs only been worn on several occasions i would think you would get a replacement or at least repair it for you

I brought it from a Swarovski store but I don't live near one so I probably have to take it to H Samuels who will send it off. As I want to wear the necklace for my graduation so I am unsure if they can get it back to me, obviously if they can replace it or repair it straight away it would be good!!

Yeah thats what I thought because last time this happened with something else I emailed them and went with what they said that because it has been a while then I have to pay to get it fix etc... but that time there was a couple of crystals that came off!!

You can try but I think you'll have to have it repaired yourself. Swarovski always sell insurance with their products. What I tend to do though is not bother with insurance but if a piece breaks, go buy a new one with insurance and take the broken one back and claim a replacement. Then return the replacement for your money back.

Hey guys,

Thank you for the reply, I just thought about it and rung the Swarovski store that I brought it from and I explained my situation and they said that they could exchange one for me because it is taking about 8-10 weeks for repair. So I will probably be going back there to exchange it although it is a 2 hour trip!

I didn't realise they sell insurance, I don't remember being sold any probably me not listening lol!

Not bought any for a year or so now so it may have changed. My mum collects the stuff though so bought a fair amount in the past. Maybe it's just with figurines and stuff though?

Glad your getting it sorted anyway.

as its a 2 hour journey why not ask whether you can send it back via post insured
and if they could send you new one - save you the journey - i would imagine they might refund postage as well:thumbsup:

or if you could exchange at a closer outlet

I forgot about that, I rung another store about it now. But they said they have to see the necklace first to see if it is wear and tear and would not give me a definitely answer. I told him about the graduation and he said that it doesn't usually take 8-10 weeks to fix but I told him that I was told the minimum would be 6 weeks and he was still trying to convince me I would get it back on time but I don't really want to risk it!! So he said to bring it in to show them. So just have to wait and see ask I have to send it down to my bf to get him to do it for me!
