sorry i dont understand what you mean by that:?

they have got 6 months to take it out of your account, but i have been doing my banking for the last 12 years and have got a number of reciepts never claimed for, esp by supermarkets

might be your lucky day

are you sure you didn't pay by another card??

i think it could be up to a month or something like that as a while ago me and my partner both got petrol from asda and i just presumed it had gone out right away then about a month down the line it went out and we ended up getting charged at the bank as the money wasnt in, we contacted asda to complain but they said it can take up to however many days before they take the payment, it was in our local paper as it had happened to loads of people and everybody gettin charged.

its usualy quite quick, although once i did a shop in tescos and it didnt appear for nearly 3 weeks

Came as a supsrise as I had never noticed, I thought my card/asda account had been compromised, lol.The answer to your question op is 6 months, so don't spend it just incase, they can take it any time.

you would think that they would have just let it go lol

You wonder why you get charged!!..lol. You promise the retailer the money take the goods and then moan when they take payment..there are no guidelines as to when the money is taken out...but it can take up to 6 months as others have said.. you tell them they can take the money so leave it in there..if you spend it its your fault...or if you dont like waiting... use cash..simple as.

took 3 months for a shop to take mine out my account once and made me go overdrawn and i was charged and was told they can take it when they want
