    T-mobile 6 month web booster

Hi can anyone please help I have been trying to put the 6monthweb booster on my t-mobile sim card (I know it is now £40) however it came up with a message saying they were having technical difficulties and to try again later. I took the sim card into EE shop where the sales assistant said it no longer existed and tried to get me to switch to EE. However it does not say anywhere online that they no longer do this booster and I put this booster on my mums phone late last year. Was he just trying to get more money out of me or was he correct?

They're shutting down Orange and T-Mobile by the end of the year (got told this by a retail staff member who I'm quite friendly with), so I wouldn't be surprised if they're stopping people from buying packs and boosters

Honestly though, the six month web booster was good when it first existed but it's not worth buying now. £40 divided by six is £6.67. And there was a a fair usage policy with it of 500MB a month which, should you go over, will prevent you from doing anything data intensive such as streaming music or videos.

Nowadays, with the presence of super cheap plans from the likes of Plusnet Mobile, iD Mobile etc who offer 2GB of 4G data plus a hefty allowance of calls and texts for £7.50, I'd say these old T-Mobile 3G boosters are outdated.

**Update** It now appears they don't do the six month web booster any more, it's now a three month booster and costs £30. This comes with a fair use policy of 1GB a month. Terms: ee.co.uk/hel…ans

As a result of this, even Three's 321 tariff offers better value with 150MB for free with each top-up and 1p/MB thereafter, or Three's Data Reward SIMs with 200MB for free each month without any top-up requirement and 1p/MB after that.

I naively assumed because it was still on the site and because I have not heard otherwise I was still ok buying and using this booster.

I am now stuck with the credit to use up and as the sim card is for my grandads tablet and not a mobile phone I don't need/care about minutes or texts.

I have rang 150 however the only option I got was the 5 day plan and not even a chance to talk with an actual person.

I would recommend ring them use the 080o number for ee customers it will e free and explain to them that it's not working point out to them the Web page as really it's not u who are naive they should take this down I'd they aren't available anymore in a way they have ripped u off try get your 40 quid back and then go for another provider I use to use the 6monthweb for the 20 quid but it's pointless these days as ifs too expensive know.
