ONSPEED is a quick and easy software download that significantly increases the speed of any Internet connection, anywhere in the world.

Using a unique and patented compression technology, ONSPEED increases Dial-up speeds by up to 10 times; Broadband by up to 5 times and Mobile connections (via GPRS/3G) by up to 8 times.

Is easy to install for PC and Mac; no need for new hardware
Works with your existing Internet connection (Dial-up, Broadband or Mobile connection) and your existing Internet Service Provider (ISP)

does this actualy work seems a bit far fetched??

yeah i tried one of these a while back and it didnt really do anything

has any1 tried this?

if youre on dialup, it might work.. but all it does is lessen the image quality, and compress text.
it doesnt speed up the connection, but makes pages load a little quicker - if not a bit uglier.

it also uses a proxy, and so i probably wouldnt want to use it for anything private

not one for broadband users, unless they like badly compressed graphics

You want faster Internet? Leave Dialup ......

Works well for mobile data - if you're using a data card or mobile phone to connect your notebook remotely - this really does reduce your data usage and can save you quite a bit (depending on tariff).

It definitely speeds up GPRS when you're in a duff - non 3G areas.

For dial-up and broadband - I wouldn't bother.

Voted Hot - as 6 months trial is a good offer if you can make use of it on a mobile data tariff.

Moved to misc, we generally do not allow downloads as freebies

I had this when I was on dial-up a few years ago. I thought it was great, speeded things up considerably. Didnt see the need for it anymore when I went over to broadband. But now im accessing the internet via my mobile phone i'm going to sign-up again.

Having said this, where's the link to this free 6 months deal Keralaguy. I cant find it. Can someone help.

oh yea, i missed it. its here for anyone else who missed it like me -onspeed.com/T3

I use this with my 3 pay as you go mobile (skypephone) linked to my laptop. £5 = 1GB download limit. Onspeed helps stretch that limit.

I'm trying it out now - it does seem to be a bit quicker with my 2MB broadband, but to be honest the graphics just look a bit poorer quality...am I missing something?? Really I'd prefer to wait a little longer and see nice pics...doh

I'm glad I didn't pay for this. It's rubbish. Just keeps timing out on me.
I hope it's better for everyone else, i'm sorely dissapointed with it.

If its timing out on you sounds like ther's some problem - have you contacted customer support?

As I mentioned earlier I had Onspeed a few years ago when I had dial-up and it was great. However, on this occassion i've signed up and they've failed to send me the password so i've been unable to try it. I also phoned them to get the free onspeed .exe for my mobile. They sent me an sms with the necessay link and I downloaded something from there - but it doesnt work. I contacted customer support who referred it to the tech guys. Was told they would get back to me in 48 hours but they didnt.

Anyone else having these problems?
