Taking a birthday cake into Weatherspoons?

It's my son's 15th birthday tomorrow and we are planning on going to Weatherspoons for a family meal in the evening. When we have gone to other places in the past, ie, Frankie & Benny's, we have been allowed to take in a birthday cake. However, does anybody know if you can at Weatherspoons? I'm only asking as I can't get through to my local Weatherspoons on the telephone - it rings for a while then sounds like it is diverted to a fax machine! Thank you.
