    taking baby to free screening?

    Banned
don't want to leave her with the out laws just yet. Reckon they'll be cool with it? Its that Disney film. The wife thinks I'm bonkers for considering it.

No problem taking a baby in as long as they're quiet.

    usual insane rantings from OP

I went to first screening and someone took a baby heard several people say what idiot brings a baby to a film. the baby cried and had to keep going out, one parent stayed outside with the baby for last half hour.

I guess you know your baby. One of my kids would be fine as they would probably just sleep. The other one would be more work. So I probably wouldn't do it.

Just consider others who have paid to see the film and sit near the exit in case you need to slope out quickly.

Nothing spoils a film more than a crying baby...

i wouldnt think its a good idea incase she starts crying haha but i understand about you not wanting to leave her i was like that with my daughter still am a bit.

If the baby starts crying in a cinema I'm in, I will do something so offensive I cannot post about it. It wouldn't end well.

i think one cinema (or chain) was doing special screenings for parents with babies. Lower volume and low lighting left on.

It shouldn't make any difference how much you have paid for it! I think you are quite daft even considering it personally, and rather inconsiderate about possibly ruining the night of many people.

I've seen babies in the cinema, parents tend to take them out if they start playing up. I only wish the parents of the teenagers came and did the same.

No what usually happens is they spend a couple of mins trying to calm the stupid brat down, then carry the crying mess out slowly. 5 mins of the film ruined because of some stupid lump of crap and its **** owner being a selfish ****.

Gotta agree with your wife, a cinema is no place for a baby.
Bad enough that the rowdy teenagers are in there, let alone a noisy baby.

Anyone that makes noise in a cinema should be beaten to death. Even coughers.

    Mod & Ed

Think your baby would be far happier being doted on by grandparents than stuck in a cinema, wouldn't take any of mine as young as yours, plus think of all the people with coughs/colds etc breathing out all their germs.

    totally agree with that.

Ridiculous to even consider taking a baby that is few weeks old to the cinema oO stay in with the baby and let your wife go with a friend. She deserves a break from you

ha ha she already suggested it, but she's not seen any of the previous pirate of the Caribbean movies. Will go with the majority and leave her with the in laws, better get practising with the breast pump now then.

If you took a baby to a screening I was in and it started crying you would get shouted at. Regardless of it the screening was free or not.
Let the baby stay with the in-laws. The worst thing that can happen is that a pit bull will eat your child. But for that to happen you will have to come from Liverpool and have a mother in her early 30s. If that's not the case then you will be fine.

I rared up on 4 drunken sl*gs on the opening of the recent Harry Potter movie. Me and the girlfriend had waited months for it and four fat hoes reckon they'd shout, giggle and swear at everything. It stopped after I told them where to go.

Harsh but he was speaking the truth.

It's the same principle as taking a dog to the cinema.

Or to stay relevant to HUKD misc - a tortoise. One that talked of course.

Another thing to consider would have been that because it’s that Disney film, even though it’s a free screening, the room will be packed and you can guarantee every seat will be taken which if your wife would have needed to take the baby outside if it was crying, she would soon annoy other people with constantly having to move from her seat to exit the row (unless you were seated at the end of a row to begin with) and might just end up dismayed and tell you to leave early because there’s no point in going back in and playing musical chairs whilst the baby is unsettled.

I actually don’t mind babies; I went to a free screening of Kung Fu Panda and loads of parents were there with babies and other small kids. Anytime I heard a baby cry the parent would make a quick dash for the exit if they couldn’t subside it quickly, it wasn’t that bad. Teenagers round here aren’t even that bad, it’s other adults that leave me with a bad taste in my mouth. I just don’t understand why people would pay (exorbitant London prices) for their tickets and then just sit and chat to each other loudly throughout the vast majority of the film??

Its the same with the vast majority of gigs I go to (especially in London) too...basically people are just inconsiderate ****!
