taking linux of my new netbook and putting winxp on,how to di it?

Hi my partner has orderd a new netbook and it comes with linux on it,im sure winxp will be better for her but not sure how i would go about putting xp on it?would i need to use a external cd drive?thanks

Basically, you need to put the Windows installation files on a bootable USB drive and install from the USB drive.

Your best bet is to look at the user forums for your particular netbook. If you have a spare internal drive you can buy an adaptor use that to install directly from the DVD.

Be careful though. I bought an acer aspire one for my son and planned to remove the linux and replace with XP. I checked with acer before hand and received a response advising they would not offer support if I did this.

couldn't u just buy her the version with xp on it already?
