    Talk Talk....what can we do?!

    Afternoon all!
    Since November we have been trying to cancel Talk Talk...was being charged about £30 a mth for phone,TV and Broadband...then in November with out any warning they up the charge to about £48 mth..when I phoned about this,they said it was a mistake,and it would be put right..it never was, it took to 14th March to change to a new provider!!I cancel with them and the bank,the bank stopped the DD payments,as I had sent 3 letters,email after email about trying to cancel.
    Now I do not mind paying the £30 a mth,for that time,but they are asking for £243..I have payed half that,as they have added payments as they could not get the Direct D payments...a extra £20 a time..we was on the phone for 40 mins on Saturday ,spoke to 9 different people,Got no were,just payed the £120,they now say they are going to send our account to a dept collection agency ,now how can we fight this,I do not see why we should pay all of it!?

    @ Mallinersha....The whole thing as dragged on and on,they just would not cancel, in the end I had to get Sky in,to get rid of them...BUT if we canceled why should we pay all these payments!?
    Are you saying that ,would be the best way to sort it out,by court?

    I have had my fair share of grief from their deliberately dysfunctional and foreign customer service line which you also have pay for. Make no more calls as they have no power to fix anything and you will be lucky to talk to the same person twice.
    Google the problem and look for the address where to send your complaint. Complain by letter and they will respond within a few weeks. Review their response and decide what to do next. Their want to prolong your problem in the hope you will either give up or pay up.

    God i have heard lots of bad things about Talk Talk....Canceling etc.

    Agree 100%...that is just the way it was,they have no idea.."have no power to fix anything" that is how it is with them,they just see the £243 on the P.C screen,and cant and do not understand,that it is wrong,you talk to them for 20 mins,tell them all the problems!!They go "so you are paying the £243 then"...OMG! We have sent 3 letters of complaint..got no reply .But having said that,in a way nice to see it is not just us had problems with Talk Talk!
