    Tall men's clothes

Can anyone name some shops that sell formal trousers / suits with a 36" inside leg? High Street clothes stores and supermarkets all seem to stop at 34" and the specialist 'Big and Tall' shops only do trousers that are 38" plus.

I know I can buy a pair from a Big and Tall shop and get them reduced, but they're not exactly cheap to start off with and having to pay extra for alterations because I'm tall but not quite tall enough really p*sses me off.

I hear you Scorpius, I am 6 foot 5 and have a hard time. I cant help you with clothes really bar using the net, I go to Holland for my clothes as I lived there all my life and my parents still do so I go back as rip off Britain sucks. (in terms of buying clothes for the taller gentleman only of course)

I'd prefer a shop I could actually walk into but I'd consider an online shop if they were reasonably priced and had a good returns policy (i.e. they would let you return something just because it looked better in a photo than in real life). Can you recomend any?

As far as I know, you have the right to return any orders done by distant shoppng. i.e. catalogues, etc.

I normally get all my stuff from Banks Big & Tall online as i'm 6ft 5, but they do have a few shops you can walk into also if you check there site.

Failing that get them tailor made from Ebay, just type in made to measure and you will find ppl offering tailor made suits ect for a decent price.

I suppose that you already know about this site but here goes.:)
High and Mighty have a good returns policy:

Their trousers are available in KS Regular, KS Long and Tall. Inside leg lengths are as follows:- KS Regular is 33", KS Long is 35" and Tall is 40" but depending on the style and cut their trousers might fit. Of course you will need to try before you buy.

My other half is 6'8" so I know this problem very well...
We have found that M&S do a new range of clothing for the taller and more ample man...(just the way I like men...*cough) up to 35" inch leg which fits my other half nicely.

Its called your size and the do some very nice items...
You can order online or you can try a local store which some do stock a few items or they will order in for you ...free...to collect in a few days.

Worth a try as they have trousers and shirts from £9.50

H, normally get hubby trousers and jeans etc from Next as they do an extra long on most of their stuff which I think goes up to a 38" leg

Thanks for the replies, High and Mighty seem a bit pricey tbh and there's a Banks Big and Tall near me, they're one of the shops that do 38 leg trousers but not 36s.

Thanks for the M&S tip kimbo_frog, at £9.50 I can live with them being an inch too short, they'll be fine as everyday work trousers. Their extra long sleeved shirts look reasonable too.

glad to have been able to help!...

Just a note on this old thread, can't find High and Mighty on Quidco anymore...
