    Tattoo???

My wife and I have been talking for a while about getting tatoos. Our son was born 9 months ago and we would both like to get something with his name (Robbie).

I would also like to get something to do with my fav football club Manchester United.
I was thinking of getting 3 stars and Robbie name somewhere.

Anyway, what I'm looking for from you people is some advice and stories.
What? Where? and How? Was it sore?????

    Thanks in advance

your sons name sounds okay, Id scrap the Man Utd bit personally, it dont hurt that much (so ive been told),if your prepared mentally it wont be that bad.

Thanks for the input mate, is their some sort of rule that you must live in the same city as the team you support?
If you must know I was born in Stockport and my dad, who is from manchester, was a big man utd fan so that is why started to support them and continue to.

Not that is any of your beez wax anyway.

And another thing, I started a thread so I could share a little bit of me and maybe get some advice on getting a tattoo, but no all I get is "not football", "you live in alva, typical".

Thanks, I was thinking of maybe the forearm, just a tiny one, lol

Ive got 4 names on my left shoulder (run out of space on headboard), seriously though no pain but I have a high pain threshold due to my condition and the heavy duty painkillers I live on. Ive got my sons name his half brother and sister and their mum (whatevers happened between us she is still my sons mum and i'll be ever greatful for that gift, and the other two are his brother and sister - maybe not mine biologically but are in the ways that count)

    three bits of advice-
look for a shop with photos of their work on display as well as flash
use Bepanthen on the tattoo- stops it scabbing and looking **** when it's healed
don't get the name done in Chinese.... unless you're Chinese, I guess?

No matter what anyone else tells you, it's really sore.
I think I have a high pain threshold but was in agony for the whole hour.
Saying that, I would get another done, would advise you get a decent sized one as your a bloke otherwise everyone will think your a bit of a wimp.
You could always shorten to Rob if it was too sore.

I've got about 10 or 11, a fairly high pain threshold and each any everyone hurt in some way or other! The worst was the one on my spine, thought it would never end, took about 6 hours in two sittings. Just be sure about what you want, all things considered it could be there a l-o-n-g time... consider a henna one first to see if you like the look of it?

Choose a tattooist that's recommended to you and the golden rule is... Don't scrimp on price - If it's cheap - it'll look cheap! Oh and as above, avoid footie teams...

and there is me thinking everyone in stockport was a city fan! (according to united fans) lol
