Teabags

I'm currently doing a shop online and have a dilema!!

This is a serious dilema, which is starting to cause a vein to slowly puncture my forehead!

Unfortunately were not talking teabagging, but actual teabags that you dip in water to make a brew.

What can be the difference in all seriousness between Tesco Value Teabags, at 29p for 80, and Tesco Premium Tea Bags at 99p and tesco finest teabags for £1.59.

Now, a tea leaf is a tea leaf? Am I correct here?

Bit of a random one, but seriously, whats the difference!?

I would most probably, but, I'd like to know what the difference actually is!

I reckon they are exactly the same tea bags!

    Probably just the packaging

It's like people taking waitrose bags to put their Lidl stuff in

Maybe there are different variaties of leaves like there are different plants. I prefer Tetley to PG Tips but that's all I know for sure!

It's mostly in the way you brew it anyway

I would have thought you would like Barry's tea being an Irish lass Emma? It's all my girlfriend and her family will drink...

301 posts in almost 600 days of membership for me. That's pathetic!

I was a slow starter though

Price reflects various grades of tea leaves. Usually Darjeeling Tea, grown around the icy Himalayas attracts much higher price in the market compared to others. The finest tea is the top two leaves and the bud and is less acidic.

So with tesco value tea your basically getting the roots of the plant!?

I just reckon the premium stuff will be the exact same stuff as the value. I'll try it, I'll break the bank and buy both! See if theres any difference!

cool, please write a review after :P

lol... Tesco finds out where the a so-called Tea grows (close to Sahara ??) and then squeezes the farmer to grow the tea using ethical methods (you grow I GROW) to get the cheapest tea on the planet for the Value product. Forget not every producer has to strictly adhere to Tesco's code of practice ;-)

just shouted downstairs to the wife to get the kettle on !!!

    I love this girlpower thing

Tea bags YUK....loose leave every time...Yorkshire Gold....delicious and worth every penny...if you're on a budget then Tesco finest is fine.....my experience with tea is that you get what you pay for.
