Home-made cards go down a treat or even home-made fairy cakes perhaps

I help out in a class, I would love a cattle prod.

I always buy my kids teachers/classroom assistants Candles. You can get loads of different scents and shapes - it lasts longer than choccies and I always get enthusiatic thanks. Hope it helps.

I also make/print a teachers certificate senteacher.org/wk/…php and then tie it up with ribbon, makes a nice change to a card.

When there are that many helpers I have often bought a gift they can all share. Maybe a tin of quality street or some capacino/ hot chocolate sachets etc.

Or I have made lovely cheap gifts before by buying a mug each (often £1 in tescos) and then a small square box of chocs and then put some tissue paper in the mug and pop a few wrapped sweets on top. Put the mug on top of the box of chocs and then wrap in celephane with some twirly ribbon at the top.

I would say a small plant would be good or stick to chocs. I work at a preschool and chocs go down well or like the above a cattle prod( or maybe not)

I am in the same situation, my son has 1 teacher, 3 nursery nurses and a helper. I bought each of them a really nice mug from Home Bargains (39p) and put some sachets of hot chocolate (5 for £1) and a flake in them and wrapped it up with cellophane and a bow  Its the thought that counts

Great certificate website! Thank you. Am printing one off as I type. Rep given.

Since when do you get teachers anything for doing their job? I think this is excessive, I noticed the cards in the shops, this must be a new thing?

Glad you like the certificate site, been using it for a couple of years now.

if you had put up with my son for a year you would deserve a medal lol. chocs are all i can afford lol. i love the cirtificates.

it's happened for years. And you wouldn't grumble if you were one xmas presents also go down well lol:thumbsup:
vouchers make nice presents but you may prefer something more imaginative. to be honest. any gift is lovely in my opinion, it's the thought that counts and that fact that your showing your appreciation.

Having spent 3 weeks in school on a teaching placement recently I can definitely say that teachers will appreciate knowing that parents appreciate them, even if the kids don't show it sometimes!

Instead of buying a gift for each teacher/helper send one of these to them in all their names. My kids teachers loved it (and they get a free magnet) Worth looking at anyway. oxfam.co.uk/sho…o20

pretty sure John Lewis have some bits for 'great teacher' etc etc in stock.
