I have a mobo compatible with Intel T9600 and am finding that it is the same as E8235? Is this true as I have seen E8235 selling much cheaper then the T9600....

Thanks

Does T9600 have the same socket as E8235?

From what I have read, both are Socket P (478-pin), so Yes should work.

Can someone else please confirm as I don't want to mislead OP. I am more of an AMD person. (_;)

It seems a T9600 is 35W and a E8235 is 45W so will run hotter and use more power, so shorter battery life.

Isn't the T's primarily for laptops / mobile devices and the E's were for pc's?

This would explain the similar speed from the 2 in the op but the different wattage.
