Techie help needed with laptop

Experiencing internet connections issues with my laptop. I know its not the router as thats new and everything else in the house - PC, PS3 Xbox can all connect, in fact they're all excellent connections.

My laptop will run fine on the internet for 10 mins or so and then start experiencing connections problems. I run the diagnose and repair tool and it states that there is a DNS configuration issue. I have run a flush on the DNS cache but thats done nothing to repair it, in fact its probably worse.

Any tips on how to fix it?

check for firmware updates with modem/router manufacturer to see if that maybe mentions and fixes this issue.

Try a different browser.

Scan for viruse or a dns hijack with mbam or some spyware remover software.
