My uncle has Virgin media Broadband and his Router/Modem (whats the difference??) is an older model and doesnt transmit WIFI.

What would he need to buy to swap over for his old router to enable WIFI and because he has a Virgin media router it connects differently so would need a router to take a cable connection.

Also one of his computers doesnt have a WIFI receiver so what adapter or accessory could he buy for that computer to receive a WIFI signal.

Thanks very much if you can help.

amazon.co.uk/Net…8-1

this assumes he has vigrin media CABLE and not ASDL

if he has adsl then amazon.co.uk/Net…1-1

and then a usb adaptor, something like this:

amazon.co.uk/Max…-13

FYI , a router/modem in one box is an ASDL router/modem
Cable uses a separate modem and router

Virgin media supply both systems, so you need to know which he has
