Quick question.............

My youngest turned 13 last December and has developed quite a lot of bumfluff on the toplip area......it really is dark and very noticeable and he has started to get a little embarrassed by it (covering with his hand/jumper etc.)
Is he too young to shave?
If he does shave would it be best with an electric or a wet razor?

electric might be 'easier'

13 does seems young to shave but then again i have hairy mofo friends who had full taches at that age hahaha

13 is young my 15yr old not got any yet, could one of ur older boys advise him?

just get him a mach 3 or something

lol at people saying its too young etc...its called puberty, its happens to people at diff ages...

my 15 year old hasnt got any, might ask the 20 year old........although he is just likely to take the **** :-D

I remember being at school with lads that had bumfluff and we used to take the **** all the time.......i best buy him a razor tomorrow, he is sooooooo young though

i use electric btw, occasionally manual if im feeling all fancy n ****

Get him a razor its not a good look, maybe ask ur eldest to show him? might be less embarassing for him. But starting age does vary i didnt start till i was nearly 17 and i only do like twice a week now.

It's been on the way for 13 years yet it's suddenly so vital an issue that you can't wait for his dad to get home?

Supermod

If it is "bumfluff" as you put it then I feel you ought to shave it off.

Lol, whats the issue here? if there is hair to be shaved then shave it.

no I am not, I know what puberty is FFS. All I asked was is he too young to shave and if wet or dry is best.

Pick up a razor tomorrow and some shaving stuff and bribe the 20 year old to act with a bit of sensitivity I'd say!

Or threaten him with violence....or me.

Definitely a father son thing - let Dad handle it, it's not urgent.
If it bum fluff length though a manual razor is probably easier - electrics tend to pull hairs.

Just pluck it.

Best let the Mum do that, motherplucker

If there's hair to shave, then no age is too young. I use electric, much quicker and easier.

no she isnt
its a difficult thing to bring up and her son prob a bit embarassed about it as its puberty like u say
i remember covering my signs of growing up as i was embarassed about my parents mentioning it
nothing wrong with asking for a bit of advice

buy the poor lad a razor, its not a big thing, show him how to use it and hey presto goodbye bumfluff!

Does seem a bit of an overreaction - kid has facial hair---->time to start shaving.

get him an electric razor easy for him to use without cuts etc and a good starting place for shaving:thumbsup:

I would buy him a wet shaver personally - mac 3 or fusion, they are so much better than an electric in my opinion, i reckon the lad is probably excited to have his first shave , i remember mine!

bitsey you know what its like on here, especially lately, try and ignore it, i think 1 is quite young to be using razors, i would get him a leccy one to start, easier to start with for him till he feels confident enough to use a razor

Are we still talking about shaving:oops:

Wet shave.

King of shaves pre shave, then a shaving gel, then an aftershave balm.

In that order.

]King of Shaves how to shave & youtube have some when & how to shave.

to be honest i cant understand some of the replies, Im guessing some dont have teenage kids of thier own, so have no experience of what it is like.
I have a 16 year old lad same postion & from my personal experience of being a teenager i know what it was like, Ive told my lad to hang off from shaving for as long as poss, for once you start shaving thats it, the daily/weekly chore begins for life !!! I started on an electric shaver, much safer the progressed to a wet shave using the cheap BIC ones, horrid razors.
