Any success stories using those Pearl Drops?

I've heard brushing with baking soda works very well.

EDIT - yes it does ]http//ca…010

I have also had success putting a bit of clove oil with the toothpaste and brushing as normal - Warning, it stings a bit!! (Is also superb for toothache)

My wife and I use brilliant smiles after it won a 'best on test' in Men's Health mag.

does the soda not damage the enamul surface of the teeth.

I bought one of these kits, have to say, it really hurt my gums, made them bleed and the lot, there not supposed to go on them, but with the shields, its enivitable!

There were results, but i nearly knackered my gums in the process, plus, even though i dont drink red wine or tea or coffee, there back to the way they were!

Going to give baking SODA a try, thanks for the tips guys

Using a sonicare toothbrush works really well.

So what do you drink Joshanna....just loads of Gin!!.....hope the wisdom tooth comes out fine...one less tooth to whiten!!

The key to expensive bleaching treatments is the trays (moulds of your teeth) used to put the peroxide gel into and then onto your teeth.

I had this done at my dentist and it wasnt cheap. My concern was that I wanted a 'professional' to monitor it.

If you have sensitive teeth (like I do) then the max strength gel should be around 15% or possibly 20%.

I can recommend this

opalescence.com/

The gel is available on EBAY at a fraction of the price I paid at my dentist (only discovered this after having it done!)its the same stuff as some dentist use and all you need to check with any seller is that its been stored correctly and is within its expiry date.

However as I said earlier the key is the tray (or mould). DIY is not the best way to do this but, if you are interested in saving cost enlist the help of a friend to help you mould the trays and get the best fit. If you put the above product into EBAY it brings up a list of sellers. I know I cant put a link here but if you look for heleng8621 she does customised trays. Again these are a fraction of the price a dentist would charge and so long as you are careful and patient the results should be very noticeable.

The tray has to be cut so that when you put the trays in they only cover your teeth and not the gum - otherwise the gel could irritate your gums.

2nd best thing I did with my teeth.

The first was having a brace put on when I was 33 to straighten my teeth ( I should have this done when I was 15 but, my hormones were in turmoil:-D )

Hope this helps

^how long does it last for?

Depends what you eat/drink?

Lots of Curry and red wine will mean it probably wont last more than a few months.

I had one week of treatment - put gel in trays and then in mouth whilst asleep.

I'm planning on doing it for another few days to see if they go any whiter.

After that the dentist advised that you might want to have a treatment every year but just put them in for couple of days.

I think doing it too often may make your teeth more sensitive.

Another tip my dentist gave was if when using the gel you do get sensitivity on any teeth - dont put gel in that tooths mould put some sensodyne toothpaste in - then after a day or so put the gel in. Worked for me:-D

Had mine done recently here in Canada they use a system called Zoom laser whitening cost is approx 400 quid ...if they have it in the UK i recommend it
