company cars on a lease, each vehicle has a 167 point RAC inspection , you cannot test drive but can watch an online video of an RAC test drive

looks pretty good!! i want the A4!!

Doesn’t look that cheap to be honest.

I’ve been looking at local car dealers, seeing how much their 07-09 VW Passats (Estates) With around 30-50k on the clock, was looking at around £8000-£11,000. No doubt able to knock a little off list price as car dealers do.

Tesco have one listed at around £8.5k

    Doesn’t seem that competitive.

You can as long as you are not looking for 2006-2010 bmw 3er but you might be able to find some 06-07 at a risk of high mileage.

i was just guna ask that lol

I believe that it's a 'partnership' with Carsite whose own website is currently down. I've bought a couple of cars from Carsite in the past and they were always a lot cheaper than anywhere else. The Tesco version doesn't seem to be particularly cheap. No doubt, a hefty premium for the Tesco name.

Thats correct, Tesco has struck a partnership with Carsite to operate the site, which sells former fleet and lease cars. Cars sold through the Tesco Cars site, unveiled yesterday, typically have one previous owner and go through RAC and HPI checks before they are sold.

The front branding is tesco's, but carsite still run the day to day customer facing business at the moment,

Plus there other news that Auto Quake which went into Admin last week maybe taken over by the new formed car sale division.

That's simply not true. I'd much rather an ex lease, no expense spared dealer serviced car even with high miles for cheap money than one that's hardly done any miles but previously owned by a private owner who just happened to be smart enough to take it to the dealers for an oil change and get a stamp in the book.

Done correctly, with Tescos backing it could be a good thing for buyers imo.
I've not done any price comparisons myself yet though

Erm it is true, i have a company vehicle and im not bothered about it, yes it gets repaired and serviced regularly, but i don't treat it like my own vehicle

People who hire cars are also not bothered, it may say one owner in the log book but it could have potentially hundreds of people driving it.

Saying that depends on the savings, if its a huge price difference then it could be worth it

Avoid. I ordered a 2009 Mini Cooper and when it arrived they said they were out of Minis and substituted a Ford Fiesta instead - what is worse is the Fiesta only had 1 day left on it's Use By date. Also the driver would not accept my discount coupons and left without unpacking. ;-(
