    Tesco Clubcard Unclaimed Vouchers

Not sure if anybody watched daybreak this morning but apparently according to Martin Lewis the money expert, there's thousands of people who have unclaimed clubcard vouchers.

    Gonna paste the article below

The UK’s 15 million Tesco Clubcard holders are being urged to act quickly to maximise their points as our Money Saving Expert Martin Lewis explains...

    How Tesco’s loyalty scheme works

If you usually shop at Tesco and use a Tesco Clubcard to accrue points as you spend, every quarter of the year you’ll receive vouchers to redeem in-store. For example, collect 1,000 points and you’ll get a £10 voucher.

Right now, Tesco is sending out it last vouchers – in time for the pre-Christmas spend. So Tesco shoppers who haven’t received theirs already will be getting it soon.

Act now to maximise your vouchers.

Reclaim old vouchers. Tesco has just launched an new online centre for Clubcard accounts so you can see your voucher history and view what you’ve received and what you’ve spent over the last two years. What it hasn’t publicised widely is this also allows you to use this facility to check if you’ve any unused vouchers, and can you get them reissued if you can’t find them.
Reports are already coming in of people grabbing £50 - £100 of their unused old vouchers this way. Yet as vouchers only last two years, if you don’t do it now you may miss out on unused vouchers from the final send of 2008 – plus the quicker you get them the more you can take advantage of the redemption boosting techniques below.

Last chance to quadruple rewards value before they devalue. Currently, convert vouchers to items in Tesco’s little known Clubcard rewards brochure and they're worth four times their face value. So a £5 voucher would get £20 to spend on restaurant vouchers, breakdown cover, magazine subscriptions and more.
Yet on Monday 6 December it devalues this scheme to three times their face value on most things (so £5 becomes £15). So if you have vouchers and want one of the rewards, exchange quickly or they’ll be worth less.
However, remember the ‘value’ is based on list prices, so it's always worth checking out how much you could actually pay for goods direct to ensure you’re getting maximum value for your points.

Double vouchers' value in store. If you don’t need anything in Tesco’s clubcards rewards voucher – the supermarket has just launched an in-store 'double up' scheme promotion running where you can swap vouchers for double their normal in store exchange value (for example, a £5 voucher becomes £10) to spend on certain categories. Yet again this ends on 5 December too so the clock is ticking.
Categories available are (with voucher exchanges in multiples of £5): toys, clothes, baby & toddler, optical, some electricals, beauty and flowers. With voucher exchanges in multiples of £10 vouchers: some Christmas trees & lights, Finest wine & champagne, beds, bedroom furniture & bedding, DIY, computers, phones. Redeemable online: Finest wine, clothing and Tesco Direct.
Does this mean people should shop in Tesco?

No. This is to help those who have ALREADY GOT VOUCHERS to boost their value – rather than a suggestion to spend in Tesco.

Never ever choose where you shop due to loyalty schemes – usually price differences more than overcome rewards schemes' worth. Though if you are shopping somewhere that has a scheme, use it.

My partner rang up the clubcard helpline and found out that we have only £5 unclaimed and that her mum had £46 unclaimed from last year.

So definitely worth a go even if you think you've spent them all like we did its worth a go to try and see if youve got any unclaimed vouchers.

And it seems that trying to register online at the moment isn't working I don't think.

If you Can't then it'll be quicker to ring them up

When I registered for the new online thing I found £21 of unused vouchers from last Christmas, so went towards my £200 goldsmiths spree whoop, thats the last few Xmas pressies sorted!

Worth a go for everyone who thinks they haven't , my mum just rang up ad had £7.50, not much but worth claiming back?!

when i joined the new website i found i had £100 in unused vouchers, used them online for Christmas presents for hubby and son.

    oooh

    linky?

Found it thanks. It's accepted my clubcard clubcard but not my clubcard creditcard - which is the main one! I've got to ring up to get them to add it to the list, then I'll be able to see what I'm missing out on. Have to wait until hubby get's home...

    link??

    link??

LINK You need to register, tehn sign in and go to the My ClubcardAccount Tab.

    link doesnt seem to work

It's only to the tesco clubcard homepage anyway. Google it!

i had 112 checked last night

not actually sure where these magical points are to be had on that site???, unless youve got the memory of a gold fish and lost your existing ones? Then again, this is a guide from MSE we're talking about, same type of advise as "look under the cushions on your sofa for free money!"

How annoying I've signed in but when I try to progress with the My Clubcard Account Tab it says my details are wrong. hmmmmmmm

Told me this too. Is it a proper clubcard or a clubcard credit card?

All it says is what vouchers theyve already issued you???, in fact mines showing ive only got £72.50, when I know Ive still got £78.50 in the drawer.

Why doesnt Mr Lewis tell people to check their bank account to see what money they have, you might have more than you think!?

It worked for me when I filled in all the details, even the ones that it didn't say were required (middle initial, find full address etc) and used a real clubcard, not the clubcard number off my credit card. The lady on the phone said to try putting a '1' before the whole CC clubcard number, but I'd already got in using the real one, so it wouldn't do it again. She's linking the accounts together for me which takes 24 hours - fingers crossed I can check it out tomorrow.

As far as I remember I have them both linked, I put in my actual Clubcard number should I try the credit card one instead?

LOTS of people have lost vouchers and never redeemed them - this gives you the option to check out whether you've spent them or not, and get duplicates if they've been lost - I think it's a great idea!

I thought mine were linked, but they're not. Which is why my fingers are crossed she'll actually get it done tonight! Try filling in all the fields and searching for the address. Stick with the real clubcard, or try a one in front of it.

Those of you having problems, do any of you have a double barrel surname? If so try dropping the first part of the surname.

I spent about 20 mins trying to get into mine, to no avail, even with the clubcard in front of me, copying exactly. I then had a thought, that I always have issues being located on computer systems (even doctors) so tried dropping first part of my double barrel surname and got on straight away!

Might be way of the mark for you guys, but thought it was worth a mention!

ooooooh just found out i have a £3 voucher from Dec 09 not spent! Thanks

i didnt know you were supposed to keep them, i thought they just got carried on to the next statement/set of vouchers if you didnt spend them, i only found out that isnt the case due to the MSE email, i have been throwing them away for two years as i didnt want to use them, i though it was odd it always seemed the same amout and i hardly seemed to be getting any more, it makes sense now

Was really pleased to see my actual total

I should add i was having trouble login in it was saying the details did not match, even though i was using the details on the statement, gave them a call, and they had our first name spelt wrong, They answered pretty quick and were helpful....Landline for those with mobiles is...01382 822200

No. AFAIK once they are out of date, they've gone forever, but it's a good way to see if you've just lost some - then they can be duplicated and resent out. It's still not letting me see my clubcard creditcard balance though, which is irritating, as it's the main card I use!!!

Theres a section online when you go onto clubcard, I think its under vouchers, i'm not sure as I rang them to make it a lot quicker. then just look at what vouchers you have unused and make sure its not ones you already have at home, then either use the unused ones online, or if you want them resent then you'll have to ring them.
