    wow crazy

i once bought a big mac with mouldy bread.

should have complained and insisted more than a replacement

if only i was member of this forum then

I believe their policy is to refund and replace.

It's a long time out of date, though - you could contact your local Trading Standards if you are really concerned.

At a guess it' be a refund

Yeah they were tasty, my wife had one too she could be dead :x hasn't text me all day. Noticed after I had eaten mine. I jumped at her to take hers away but she punched me in the face and ate it in one ;-)

It's best before I think its safe to eat for many years after.

They will probably apologise, refund and double it.
Nothing much you can do about the comp. though.

Same happened to me and my friend years ago - we both ordered bacon rolls but hers had green mould on the outside. She complained and got a loads of vouchers for free stuff. Should have written to Head Office I think but we were young and it was instant free food!

usually results in a free meal or 2

I work for tesco and its a refund and replacement and if ur lucky and get somebody nice on c/s they will give u a gift card of some value

that is what is wrong with this country nowadays, if something goes wrong, sue them. you bought the twix you enjoyed it, so what is the problem. its getting more like America every day

Haven't done that for ages! We used to get the kids happy meals and they were ALWAYS wrong or freezing etc. My sister was always complaining and they always gave her vouchers. I'm too quiet and polite to complain that's my problem. OH isn't though - mouthy sod so he makes up for both of us.

they are allowed to sell food past its best before … they are allowed to sell food past its best before datehttp://www.eatwell.gov.uk/asksam/foodlabels/asksamlabellingrules/#A219994

it goes on to say further down

"In all cases, whether or not the 'best before' date has expired, the law says that food sold must not put people's health at risk and must not be falsely or misleadingly described or presented. "

They sold it as new, it wasn't reduced.

It must have somewhere otherwise where would you get a refund ?

My local express store has one of sorts at tobacco kiosk.

Anyways ask to see manager and just throw up on them instead

They made an error - I can assure you they won't get punished for it - a mere oversight.

Take it back and get a refund and stop your bitching.

"Twix" is the brand name for the product; it does not imply a quantity. Twix are typically sold as two bars, but singular bars can be purchased in a smaller form of the biscuit finger topped with caramel & coated in milk chocolate.

If you wish to refer to the contents of the wrapper as singular or plural you would say:

Twix bar, or Twix bars, as appropriate, Twix biscuit/biscuits, or even Twix biscuit finger, or Twix biscuit fingers.

Back to the issue with Tesco:

Were the items you bought marked as reduced, or were they found on a shelf marked as "Reduced Items" (or similar wording)?

no, but I make up for it in other parts of my life. Like the time I had a side on with a moving tractor while I was on my bike, whiplash and broken collar bone later, when I got hit by a car and went over the bonnet. I walked away with my life
