    Tesco.com Charged me twice !! £67 of shopping cost me £134 !!!

    Well I bought my shopping on line this week in the hope that it would stop me impulse buying instore. ......Worked a treat instead of spending nearly £90 I only spent £67.02 and that included delivery....great Stopped me from going over drawn this month...very sensible I thought.
    Only to find out that when I checked my Halifax account today they have charged me twice!!! Im absoloutly seathing!!
    Rings up a muppet at tesco who appologized that they have charged me twice and says money will be refunded in 3-5 working days !!
    I got quite cross with her and said thanks you have now cost me money for using your company that I didnt have spare,......what are you going to do about it?
    And she said as a gesture of good will she will send me a £10 shopping voucher!!
    Stupid flaming company ....should be laws against them !!
    What would others do in my circumstances ?

    Explain to them that's it's cost you double the amount and you're now overdrawn because of the additional charges.
    They won't be able to refund you any quicker, so suggest they pay for your overdrawn fees for there error.

    well if it put you overdrawn and you get a charge if you tell tesco they will/should pay it

    i hate tesco.com for this kind of reason.. so unprofessional.

    WE had similar with 02 and they happily refunded the charges and gave us a month broadband free.

    it can and does happen to every company, saying you hate tesco for this reason alone is stupid

    if you take it to tesco instore customer service desk they will refund you, and if i remember correctly you get back double what you were over charged so in essence you will get your shopping for free.

    I think they're changing that policy because apparantly "it was abused" but by all means, taking it to the store itself will speed up the process. :thumbsup:

    For online groceries.. I've used Tesco, Ocado, Abel and Cole, Sainsbury's, Asda.

    I can honestly say Tesco is the only one who has sent me whole lists of stuff I havent ordered ( no not just their ridiculous "substitutions", but OTHER people's shopping! ) simply not arrived, promised they'd turn up the next day.. not arrived again. Charged me extra for mysterious items I never ordered and never received and are completely unhelpful at customer services.. " We'll refund you.. in about 7 working days " and even then the refund doesn't always arrive.

    Just aren't worth the hassle in my opinion.
