    Hey HUKD,

    I was just wondering...

Today, I received the following email:

    ////
    Dear Customer,

This is a courtesy e-mail regarding your recent Tesco Entertainment order.
Unfortunately, due to a technical error, no payment was taken for one or more
copies of Halo Reach. We will now be processing your payment within the next 48
hours to complete your transaction with Tesco Entertainment. You may receive a
despatch e-mail, however we can confirm your product(s) was despatched on 11th
September which, you should now have received.

    Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

If you have any further queries please do not hesitate to contact the Tesco
    Entertainment Team on 08456 002 722.

    Kind Regards

    Tesco Entertainment Team

Having checked, they are right... they haven't taken the payment (but I have the product)...

MY QUESTION: Do I HAVE to pay this sum of money to them? Legally?

    Thanks!

    I wish I could
But from the looks of it, now that they've got my details they're just going to automatically (in the next 48 hours) take the payment without me confirming it in any way, shape or form...

surely when they despatch.they have entered into a contract to sell to you at the price stated? A contract is a two way thing-they agreed to supply, you agreed to pay,so I would say they are quite right.

    ooooooooottttt!

oh well, you best pay for it really, for using tesco in the future.

shock horror. you ordered something, and they are going to take payment!!!!!! id call the newspapers.

Same thing happened to me, Tesco dispatched my copy of Reach after I'd cancelled the order on the phone. Funds were de-authorised as a card payment and made available in my account again, then three days later they took the money. It would have been nice to get a free copy, but at the end of the day I owed them that money and so do you.

    legally yes.
