George Osborne prepares to deliver the Budget. 12.20 on BBC

Whats your predictions?

Any response to the budget once declared by Osborne?

High Interest rates to combat the 4.4% inflation should be good. Defo be an asset to me as I look to exchange my ££.

the chancellor doesn't set interest rates.

High interest rates won't help inflation a great deal. Lots of external factors pushing prices up, not an availability of disposable income. High interest rates will lead to stagflation (high inflation but also recession)

Galling to see someone like Osborne let loose with the budget. I hope there are some top economists behind the scene doing all the work for him...

I haven't. And now I know.

(just to clarify, generally when I see members on this forum with images that look like that, I don't tend to think they're being ironic).

Sooo...

Probably announce a money raising venture to allow the wealthy to hunt the disabled.

Or tax rebates for those with offshore bank accounts.

I'm more impressed that 'Gideon' is trending on Twitter.

First time buyer scheme sounds exactly the same as the homebuy scheme that I signed up for 18months ago...

Seems ok to me, personal tax allowance increase ( I earn relatively low wages), fuel duty cut, proposed fuel duty rise postponed.

Unfortunately, mps and pms get kept in power by the majority and the majority think you get well paid jobs by watching eastenders and reading the daily star.

So I doubt the stamp duty bar is going to rise any time soon.
