The Future Of Recording To DVDR - HDD - Ethernet - SD + More

What Video & Widescreen Entertainment Awards 2005 - Winner
"The DMR-E500HEBS is nothing less than a home cinema behometh....It's mouth watering stuff and this deck backs up that incredible spec sheet with superlative performance."

I for one can't afford one of these, but it looks impressive + as popularity grows, they ought to come down in price fairly quickly.

With 400gb of HDD (hard disc drive) storage space built in, record up to 29 days of programs, 709 hours, then transfer to DVD-R or DVD-RAM discs. Recording + playback features recording from + to SD cards also.

On DVD-RAM you can record up to 16GB (Double sided discs) from a few sources, HDD, SD cards, DVD-R.

Loads of features including ethernet capability (take a look on the "tour").

For £999.00p (the cheapest I can find so far + £300.00p cheaper than their e-shop price!) Santa won't be delivering too many of these this year. But if you're interested, take a look at the DIGA 3D Tour on this page:

    Impressive!

Ah yeah, I think that's an actual DVD with a capacity for 200gb or so. Wasn't that also a paper thin or paper like disc?

If those discs become recordable on a machine like this, then that's an awful lot of recording available.

I hope it is recordable....I would need a hard drive, save space lol but would be expensive.

Just found this thread, thought it was great to read in retrospect
