Just a peaceful march for those who live in a fantasy world. They have never grown up and instead of using reason or ability they march and then turn violent wasting the same resources which they feel, unjustifiably and without any sacrifice, entitled to!!

Nope they are hopeful idealists who want to live in a equal society, funny you wish to deny to them many of the opportunities that existed for your generation.

Nope they are hopeful fantasists who want to live in a something-for-nothing society, funny you jump to defend such opportunism when generations before worked so hard for their rights and lifestyle.

what? To go on a march and smash up the place instead of working for a living and contributing to society is admirable, maybe to you?

Why hide behind a mask if you want to express your opinion?

Why commit mindless acts of destruction/vandalism if you want to get out her people to agree with your way of thinking.

As I said above, they are a bunch of loons.

I've never heard of this before. What are they protesting? All I can see about the movement is that they are anti-establishment. Are they just conspiracy theorists, or do they want to steal from the rich?
Sorry if this is ignorant - just never heard of it before.

All said without the slightest hint of irony...

If I put on a mask can I loot a shop or smash the place up because I am fighting for justice - or do I loot the shop and smash up the place simply because I want to and the left wing loonies make my excuses for me?

We live in a divided society
and so many people seem happy with it

Lol anarchists my backside. They want me to be free to do as they tell me.

Because its a guy fawkes mask and its November the 5th, I would think it was obvious it stems from V for Vendetta and admiration for the last man to enter parliament with honest intent.

If it wasn't for that book/film they would probably dress as Winston Smith to get the point across.

More like so many people are "Getting off on it"

Did a bit of research and saw a few examples of why there is a protest.

    Basically It's a march against:

The 1%, capitalism, benefits claimants, austerity
Possibly others. Would genuinely be interested to know what the end goal is though, what they would like achieved.

They want to create a power vacuum, and they think it won't be immediately filled by some form of tyranny because cannabis.

I went on a march in London in 1990 against the first gulf war. I would judge from being at football matches that there were about 150,000 people there on the march. I got home late that night, and put the news on the TV, the police said on the news that there were about 20,000 people on the march.

The west invaded the gulf anyway. I have not been on a march since. I would judge from the news in the newspaper now about Isis that things haven’t worked out so well with interfering in the east.

Yes, these anarchists look like fools. But then all underground opposition forces that have later taken control tend to look naïve.

I wonder if section 60AA will be in force tomorrow at some time
Section 60AA of the act gives officers the power to direct a person to remove any item that the officer believes they are wearing in order to conceal their identity. It is not against the law to wear masks, scarves, etc. even if you are attempting to hide who you are, it is just against the law to refuse to remove them/hand them over if required to do so by an officer while this order is in place.
