Yeah Mulholland Drive probably the hardest to understand. It doesn't really matter too much if you get all of it or none of it as it works on first viewing as it does once you read an explanation. It's a modern masterpiece in my opinion.

I have to agree with your mate inception was pretty confusing.

How is inception confusing? All you have to do is remember which dream level they are in.

One of the most baffling I`ve seen was I Don`t Want to Sleep Alone

I didn`t think Inception was confusing, at all. I thought a lot of people read far too much into it and confused themselves.

spoilers its a dream in a dream in a dream simples

Inception is about as confusing as Chavs a honest law abiding citizens.

got to agree with most people here, that inception wasn't confusing at all...you just got to remember what dream level they are in!

Inception is easy lmao, anywho:

Eraserhead

The Naked Lunch

Tetsuo

Akira

Jonathan Livingston Seagull

I think Lost Highway is the most confusing I've seen - (or maybe Mulholland Drive - but I've not re-watched that recently). David lynch was never one for simple plot lines... both are great films - well worth watching.

That was a good film but time travel movies can easily get confusing. I have no idea what was going on in Suicide Club.

Primer! http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0390384/

Shutter Island : I think I got it, but I can't be certain

I was doing quite well with it until near the end when the 3rd or 4th incarnations of themselves started interfering with time! oO

Might have to give Suicide Club a watch, looks interesting!

Wasn't that spelt out at the end of the film?

Good time travel story done on almost no budget.

You could try The Attic Expeditions (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0118652/). Great fun with a 'huhh' ending. . .

Yeah lost highway is another one, David lynch doesn't make straight forward films oO

IIRC: Only by the person who was causing the questions in the first place, so he could have been planting those thoughts too?

Which is made easier by them all being quite different

I would say No Country for Old men had me thinking wtf at the end. tbh I wasn't really in the mood to watch it and my wife spent the entire film saying "this is pap" so I didn't really enjoy it

inception and these other films are simples and makes me wonder these can be considered confusing,
If you want confusing go to china/ Korea !! that's some messed up stuff
here is one clip youtube.com/wat…EZw
Did see another vid but can't find it, they are all in a class room and anyway won't go into it but has to be the most spinny thing I have seen. These people make david Crononberg look like a director for sooty and sweep shows

Endings on some films usually confuse me...e.g. Planet of the Apes (2001)

Showgirls

I seem to remember the dvd coming with a time map so the owner could work that one out

I watched Mr Nobody the other day, I found that quite hard to follow. Though I enjoyed it.

The first time I watched pulp fiction I was confused when john travolta "came back to life"

Excellent movie, made my top 5 of last year. It's confusing until the ending I thought.

It doesn't help anyway. I'm sure they've tried to make an explanation fit the ending they wanted.

You made me laugh ... thanks! :-)

gotta agree with nikkib123

donnie darko tried so hard to be cult, it was alright, but not as clever as it thinks

'the social network' is damn good in my opinion, tries to bring the eighties vibe, got a touch of 'american phsycho' about it,without the violence, but good

Blair Witch Project.
Not because it doesn't really explain the conclusion but because (1) people still call it a horror film and (2) get scared by it confusing stuff man

Went to Blockbuster a few years ago and it was my turn to pick the film everyone else wanted to watch nicolas cage in matchstick men, but i picked Dreamcatcher. The beating i got from the rest of the room when it ended was incredible to say the least. I was confused at the plot but fully understood why i got the ferocious kickin

I'm guessing noone here has seen magnolia. Easily the most confusing film of all time.

Why? There's no confusion to be had surely.

Seriously? Raining frogs?

I really liked memento, magnolia, dogville just going to watch primer in a minute but not so much confusing but i just thought was a really bad film was the langoliers. We just sat there and mainly laughed all the way through it even though i dont think it was meant to be a comedy.
