Thin cardboard DVD sets - Don't you just hate 'em?

/just knocked my Alien sets off my TV...

I swear it's impossible to keep them in good condition unless you never take them off the shelf. You have to hope they arrive in mint condition, then make sure not to mark them...very challenging when you're as clumsy as I am.

The thicker cardboard sets are also easily to make on the corners, but at least there's no real danger of them looking as messy as the thin cardboard sets do. >_

I tend to use a sharp knife to open all these bloody cardboard DVD sets and keep the cellophane on them. They look a lot nicer than plastic until you accidently breathe on the box and ruin it.

I know what you mean, you spend twenty quid upwards on these box sets and they can't be bothered to spend a few extra pence on better materials to make them more robust.

I totally agree, but in all fareness they could put them in clingfilm and people would still buy them.
