    Im visiting York this weekend. Any ideas on places to go/see and great food places. Help appreciated, thanks

    Age range? If mobile go visit the pub " the house of the trembling madness" on stonegate .. A few stairs up though .

    Minister, Jorvik, Shambles, Manor House gardens, Cliffords tower, national rail museum.
    Loads of other stuff in city and in vacinity such as Castle Howard

    I'd second the house of the trembling madness. Had a great day in there!

    May be seasonal but you can often get deals for river cruises. The dungeons are canny. Mainly though just potter around. It's a beautiful city.

    For food... Black Swan pub 5 mins from city centre, haunted pub that does biiiig and nice portions. Lucias italian restaurant in the centre - download app in advance for 10% off food.
