Thinking of getting a new TV...

Current one is pretty old (£50 ebay job ), however it has RGB enabled scart sockets, and I run my Xbox 360 via an Enhanced Scart lead.

It's not a 360 Elite, so no HDMI output. My question - If I brought a HD TV would the picture be improved, or am I basically wasting money?

Sorry forgot something - the current TV has no component connections on the back, new TV would have, would this give me a better picture than the current setup?

If you use the hd component, you'll see a difference but not a bigger difference then the hdmi cable.

Yes you'll see a big difference if you use component or vga on a HD tv. You can read the writing on the screen now for a start....

I had a 28" CRT connected to the Xbox via scart. The HD tv I have now is a great deal better.
