i would as i flew with thomas cook last month and space is limited, like knees against the seat in front. especially if your long haul flight

but at £25pp each way its expensive

Although I'm short (5' 6") I'd say no, the difference isn't that great, if I were you I'd, just get there early & try & get a economy with extra leg room. But that's just my humble opinion & for once being short is almost an advantage!

But I guess it also depends on how many people are going & how much it will cost you for the whole upgrade & there's nothing worse than getting somewhere & being tired, annoyed etc & then having to drive miles to your destination.

How much have you been quoted?

We just flew with Monarch and they were charging £125 each way which is a rip off.

Even the people in the premium seats were saying so....

its about £100 each if it long haul, I've just back from Mexico and it was that, not worth it tbh, fair enough you get a better meal, free unlimited drinks and extra luggage allowance, plus you get more TV movies but thats about it.

I went for the standard class coming back and I got all the premium channels on my TV, plus pillows and towel, not really bothered about drinks as they taste rank anyway.

If your bothered about leg room, I'd stick with standard and get up and go for a walk around the plane a few times.

My partner and I flew premium Economy to Cuba. I would definately pay again. There are only 12 rows so it is much more peaceful. You get all the TV chanels and games to play. Also your own toilets (no queue!!!!), faster service, more legroom, priority check-in, boarding and luggage and the obligatory goodie bag!

priority check-in

I don't see the point in that really, you still have to wait on the plane while everyone else boards.

Yeah, but you don't have to queue for what can be hours. Check in, leave bags and then you're free to relax.

never had a problem with standard class on any airline, I always arrive when check in opens so maybe that's why.

I always have to get a connecting flight so it can be a total nightmare!

Thomas cook flights are the same now for long haul in economy and premium both with 33" seat pitch so not worth booking premium. I would pay extra if it was a monarch flight though
