    Thomas land in drayton manor??

My 2 year old son is thomas mad, and after seeing thomas land on one of his dvds he wants to go. Just looking for general info on the park and rides etc, and if there is a lot there to do for his age range, and whether it would be worth taking him.

Have you had a look at their website? It looks fantastic, reckon you could spend the whole day just in Thomas Land. We are taking our little boy there in May for his 3rd birthday xx

My 4 year old loved it! Plenty to do but food was a bit rubbish...

Had Tesco points and used on this day trip! Great value with vouchers.

We took my little girl for her 3rd birthday and we loved it! You can get a ticket for a adult and a under 4 for £15 in school term time. There is lots of little ones rides all themed round Thomas and then you can do the bigger Rides in Drayton Manor at same time. We spent the whole day and didn't want to leave. We're going back this year for her 4th b'day and my wee boy will just have turned 2 I'm really looking forward to him being able to enjoy it more.
You can even ride on Thomas, I'm sure your lo would love it.

It's great fun for them but you will be very limited at 2,even my five year old was really restricted, unfortunately its not very big,

that not true imo.... we took our (then) 4 year old last fathers days and he loved it (going back June). Loads of rides, and queues of no more than 15-20mins tbh. If you register with ]"enjoy staffordshire" you can use they card and get entry for £16per adult and £11 per child aged 2-3 (reduced from £25 and £21 for adult and child respectively!)

We spend the whole day 10am - 5:30pm in there. Loved every minute of it. This time though, we have a 6month old, so mum will be pushing her whilst our (then) 5 year old with be dragging daddy on every ride at least twice. Shame there isnt a "free entry for buggy pushing mums" ticket

Zoo is included, everything in Drayton Manor is connected to Thomas Land so you can go on everything there. We took the Thomas train down to the zoo then worked our way back going on the rides in the main park bit.

There is dates on Thomas Land website for the cheap tickets, it's when Staffordshire schools are on. We're going mid may and I think the local schools break up just after we go
    Hope that helps

we all like drayton manor and your little one will love thomas land, he will be able to go on all the rides in that section and the zoo is included in the admission price, he will love it.

as it "are on" do you mean "are at school?" hence the park will be quiet!?

We've been twice and both my kids love it - best theme park we've taken them too

My youngest was 2.5yrs last time we went and could go on all the rides in Thomas Land and many of the others as well as a lot state that if under 1m then must be accompanied by an adult - they have been asking this week if we can go again in the summer so def a hit with them!

Agree food is not good and really pricey, so would recommend taking a nice picnic

When they are at school, Look at the dates on the Thoma website to save confusion!

Hope you have a great time, not sure who was more excited last time we went!
I videoed it and we have to watch dvd our Thomas dvd regularly! I'm sure you could go out to car, hope someone else can remember. There is plenty other rides in park you'll be able to do as well, as long as you go on too

    1. theres a couple of smaller rides in the main part - see map ]here
    2. personally, as everywhere like theme parks, price are always inflated due to the audience (iirc, £3.95 for a Hotdog, £2.20 for a coffee)
    3. as long as you have ALL tickets you were issued with when you entered it aint a problem.

If you let me know exact date/s and number of people going etc, I'll work out a cheapest price as i need to do that for us as well.

yea, just seen that.. that cool as we're heading down 1&2 June

There will be more than enough to do for you, a day will not be long enough.
Thomas Land has only one ride the kids can't go on as it is for older kids only, think it's a ride yourself tractor / digger round a track. All the rest an adult can go on with them.
There are plenty of main park rides you can take the little one on.
The zoo isn't small and will take around an hour to go round.
There is also a large play area to have rest (that's you not them)
Definitely take a picnic, car park (well laid out well maintained grass) is around a five minute walk from park gates. Food is of low quality and greasy.
Get there early, make sure you are in the park when the rides open.
Expect lengthy queues on peak days as it become VERY popular, especially since TL opened.
Plan to stay all day until closing time as park quietens down after 4-5pm when trips go home.
make sure you check out the 4d cinema.

We went for the second time this christmas. My DD is 2 1/2 and just 90cm tall. There were only 2 rides in Thomas Land she couldn't go on. There are a few in the main park that age can go on. The part that my son loved most when he was just 3 was the park / playground area with a sandpit. You get to it on the Thomas train. the zoo is included.
I agree to go term time for the £16 for the 2 of you. If you take a packed lunch it isn't far to the car. In fact on both the occassions we have been we have parked right by the entrance.
    You'll have a great time.

    rachel!
do you know when / how many are going to DM? are you staying over night nearby to visit park 2 days in a row?

oh yea... most def. takes about 10 days to come. Also, watch out for Kelloggs incase they do the Zoo Promo tickets again as DM qualifies for that (last time was 2007/8, so may do it again this year)
