    Thursay nights in Sheffield

    I'm going to look at univercity accomodation next Thursday in Sheffield and am thinking on having a night out. What's it like on a Thursday? I'm assuming most students will be back home for easter?

    So is it likely to be busy? If so what bars and clubs Should we check out?

    Cheers

    I don't think Sheffield opens until weekend.

    Yeah I noticed that but I was on my iPod so didn't bother trying to change it. My spelling and grammar is usually perfect though (;

    Doesn't sound great then, we will just have to find somewhere that is open then...

    West street is the place you wanna go for the bars.
    As its Easter, i will warn you that sheffield will be alot quieter than normal. Sheffield is very a much a student city, so tends to be a far bit quieter without them.
    Accomodation depends on which uni and campus your visiting. If its sheffield hallam, then you wanna be in the city centre - Try ibis normally 35quid a night
    Sheffield university is on the edge of the city centre, is a 20min walk fron the centre or catch the tram.

    West Street and Division Street if you want bars, if you want a really good pint try the Red Deer just off of West Street though it will be quieter than normal as mentioned before.

    As for uni accommodation, it depends on what you want, there are options all over the city, it doesn't really matter which of the 2 uni's you are at. Most of Hallam's buildings are in the city centre by the bus and train station, whereas most of Sheffield uni's buildings are near to the ring road at the top of West Street (they also have quite a few on or near West Street depending on your subject) either way the centre is easily accessible by walking, bus or tram.

    If you want a cheap night out I would stay away from West St. For a decent club with decent indie music you can't go wrong with Leadmill. It's only 5 minutes walk from the train station as well.

    I suggest you try Gatecrasher. It's still smoking.

    Try Le Chambre at Attercliffe

    Whats all the "naahh then" all about?:?
