Time to attack North Korea or not?

North Korea 'has missile-ready nuclear weapon'

So they are bragging of nuclear weapons now. Just after firing missiles over Japans airspace.

It cannot get any worse unless NK actually fire weapons of mass destruction.

Do we wait or do we obliterate the country now?

What exactly do they have that we want?

We should keep out of it. Haven't we learnt anything from the past about meddling in other countries affairs? Japan / south Korea can handle nk without the UK sticking its snout in.

Corbyn isn't busy until the next decade, if he can tear himself away from the festival's he could have a trip to NK and broker some deal.

What do you suggest? We nuke them before they nuke us?

Kim Jong Un hasn't grown up yet. Maybe one of his missiles will be misdirected and land on him.
31878711-QQJg0.jpg

Let him brag. I bet he has a very deep bunker.

Leave them.to it. I think the US and UK have learned that we aren't the international police by now. Japan and South Korea aren't minnows and they should be putting pressure on. If something happens and China won't step in then I agree when should help out allies but preventative strikes don't seem to work based on history!

Go on OP you do something nothings stopping you.

Trump and kim are just as bad as each other, nothing to do with us

Kim seems OK, let him fire nuclear weapons, its his right to starve his people and fire nuclear weapons.

Any action or non action has to be a global effort/decision involving South Korea, Russia, USA, China and the EU. (Not sure on Africa and the Middle East approach),
1. Wait until they develop the technology and then use it in some way.
2. Eliminate the problem before the technology gets chance to be developed.

Option 2, is the 'obvious' one as it gives the world the upper hand but you can argue that North Korea will take so long to develop the technology and it won't ever be successful that you might as well leave them to it and save millions of human lives (although the lives of the North Korean people don't appear to be so great is it still better than death?!). War will create millions of refugees that will flood China, Russia and South Korea.

Option 1 is a day nobody wants and everyone is hopeful will never come, it's not global naivety it's more that if North Korea do develop and fire these weapons then there's a justification and 100% visible reason for war. After Iraq normal people in the west are war weary and will probably only accept a missile attack from North Korea as a justifiable act to go to war.

Wtf is wrong with you people thinking of nonsense stuff at this time of day, you seriously have some issues, I worry the only attack you would do to kim Jong is in his bed.

Japan and South Korea.......should be putting pressure on.?

It's China and Russia that should be putting pressure on. China should understand that if North Korea "irritate" Japan, which doesn't at this time have a military force, such irritation will give the Japanese government the authority to rebuild it's military and that would not be to the liking of the Chinese.

If you check back on history it's Japan that invaded China, with really bad atrocities, before attacking Pearl Harbour and bringing the Americans into WWII

As for Putin I don't think anybody except Putin knows what he will do.

You people need to know why they have increased the testing. Its since the bully, US meddled in so NK has no choice but to increase. They have every right to protect themselves from invaders just like US, UK, isreal, iran and the rest have nukes for protection. US is too scared to have a war with NK because they don't have much to offer, but they were very close to having one with iran but they have had to hold back for now.

Nobody is invading (they have no oil!!), they are the ones firing the missiles. Granted 6 tests compared to about 2000 tests the USA have ever conducted is very small, but even so. The whole North Korea Obsession with the USA is to deflect how terrible the country is to their people. "We treat you like crap but the big bad horrible USA is coming".

On topic comment - yes, OP. Why not nuke North Korea and destroy Seoul in the process. Seems reasonable.

31879269-BfRhh.jpg

Nuke it from orbit.

It's the only way to be sure.

Snake in kill fatty and his bum chums and open the border to the south and set up soup kitchens job done

There is no easy solution, Until China and Russia decide they'd back the US/UK rest of world up. Unleashing Nukes on NK would be WW3.

They probably will eventually create nuclear bombs, Until then the most we should probably do is have a defense strategy in place just in case. Be prepared for any eventuality.

I see most of you have fallen for modern day propaganda

They are one of only a few countries left without a Rothschild bank - iraq, afghanistan, cuba all now have one after recent war/ invasion/ pressured agreement. NK next, then Iran.. think only one more after that ...

Whilst threatening South Korea and US with a nuclear attack is hardly comparable.

NK is a nation built on a war, there has never been a formal declaration of peace they are still technically at war with America, and they use that to maintain power, some do it via fear of the state, NK does it via misdirection, the state does what it has to maintain order in the face of a far worse fate in the hands if the Americans who are evil and will torture and kill them all, SK is a sad county that is under the Americans thumb and needs to be liberated from devils.

Its all about misdirection and projection, kim jong if you hadn't noticed is modeling himself on his grandfather in order to maintain the trust of the people as his grandfather was held in very high esteem.

Every now and then they do some sabre rattling which is mainly to aid the propaganda used on their own people, its all about maintaining power and control, sadly the USA currently has a president who is too stupid to understand this and may well stumble into ignition of a war that NK has been shouting about for years as its main method of holding on to government control. What we don't want is for NK to feel its been boxed into a corner and forced to act.

armchair fighters here having just eaten Sunday breakfast and feel strong; try to go three days without food and feel what it is like, have you even spoken to one or more South/North Korean on what this is all about instead of hearing the media?
Additionally many people say China and Russia need to do something to bring NK under control, have you heard from their press and their people, get the opinions from the horses mouth as it were?

Two birds one stone?

Kim's playing a dangerous game. He knows he could never win a conflict against the US or possibly even the south (at a push) alone. He obviously wants to America and or the South to strike first in order to start something bigger with China who have openly stated they'll side with the North should that happen.

Its quite the mess, China doesn't want the South and ultimately the US at its border should Korea unify in control of the South and both China and South Korea don't want to deal with 20+ million malnourished, brain washed and illiterate North Koreans should the country collapse. All that said, N.Korea is playing the west like a fiddle and shown any nation could develop Nukes and fire off missiles without fear of reprisal. I'll be very surprised if there isn't some kind of military response this time round.

You'll find you're misunderstood less if you use quotation marks when you're saying things as someone else

You'll also find yourself a lot happier when you stop trying to preach to this cess pit.

The following isn't Segata's opinion, davewave. It's a summation of NK's propaganda.
The state does what it has to maintain order in the face of a far worse fate in the hands if the Americans who are evil and will torture and kill them all, SK is a sad county that is under the Americans thumb and needs to be liberated from devils.

It's a hobby that's killing you, inside...
Not a single one of these people are going to change their minds, and they wouldn't want to if they could.

Delete your account, and use your time more productively?
Your relevant local MP would give a little finger to get more support, canvassing etc.

Its not the crackpots on here that are doing that, they are providing a laugh but don't even realise it.

They don't have substantial amounts of oil, else the US and it's cronies (including our US lapdog government) would be all over them.
