Tips for removing biro!!!

I know it's probably a long shot but anyone know anything that will remove biro. My darling daughter has just written on my new oak doors and I've no idea if I can get it removed. I've tried a fine sandpaper but not coming off. AAAAAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHH

nail polish remover
baby wipes
tooth paste

Worth a try..

Much nicer to draw on expensive oak doors than boring paper!

Oooh, just remembered...I removed a stubborn blue permanent marker stain from my oak table with...thick bleach! Let it soak in for a minute or so. Best to try in a hidden area first though..nail varnish remover might be a little less aggressive. I'd try that first.
Good luck

Only waxed so I think that's why the sandpaper hasn't been much use. I could try coarser paper but I'm scared I'll do more damage

Thanks I'll give it a go now, it's got to be worth a try. It's on the side facing into the room otherwise I'd have just left door open for when OH gets home.

Hairspray
toothpaste
White spirit
aerosol deodorant

Hairspray usually does the trick leave it on thick for a min

Lynx deoderant. Have used it many times, always works.

baby wipes are a GODSEND...... so many things they are used for cleaning up other than the obvious !!!!

Why? the child drew on the door:?

Banned

wd40 works quite well for this stuff

spray on, wipe well

lighter fuel is good for most stains and inks.

Thinners. Or this...

If you have a table that you want to remove biro from, then the best bet is to rub with warm water and a little saddle soap.

This should help to remove and tease off the stain.

Some people report that simply using a pencil rubber too can work wonders at getting up the worst of it not all of the biro ink so give that a try too.

Finally then the classic soap and warm water may work wonders here. Nothing too strong as you don't want to affect adversely the wood or its grain that makes up the table.

maybe you don't have to remove … maybe you don't have to remove it............http://www.heraldleaderphoto.com/2008/09/18/man-decorates-basement-with-10-worth-of-sharpie/

That is amazing, dont think i would have the same flair though. When he gets bored of it he could start colouring it in.
