Titanium/Tungsten engagement rings for a bloke

Ive seen a couple of these and really quite like them. What does anyone think? Need something that wouldnt easily scratch or dent because of the work he does. and it is leap year this year. Please give me some pointers. Many thanks

Does he wear rings anyway? Not wanting to rain on your parade, but as a man, men generally don't wear engagement rings. Or do they ? I don't, but never had an engagement one to wear.

P.S. To above, I don't wear rings but would wear an engagement ring because i would be so proud to be my girlfriends husband. Any bloke who doesn't isn't serious about his wife.

you need to wait for a marriage for that:p

After my other half and I got engaged he said he wanted an engagement ring also and I was like 'huh?' - I'd never really imagines guys wore them before, but apparently lots do now

I looked at titanium and tungsten etc, but he has expensive taste and wanted platinum, there's no way I could afford that but since it's going to be a long engagement we met in the middle and I got him a Palladium one, palladium is like a step down from platinum and so way way better than the cheaper metals. Worth looking in to

I won't wear an rings, not even my wedding ring:oops:

    Anyway...

Out of the 2 choices i'd go for Tungsten tbh. Just personal choice as I like shiny stuff and tungsten has a nice 'dark' shine to it (as well as being virtually scratchproof). Really you should ask the person who has to wear it. Most people wouldn't go with tungsten as it's pretty heavy.

We talked about it a while back and he said he would wear a ring. I wouldnt expect him to wear two but kinda thought we would get the engagement ring blessed when we eventually got married and then it could be his wedding ring too. Wedding is likely to be a way off so its a show of commitment and promise of a future if you know what i mean. I did look at titanium today in a shop in town - that was nice and ive seen a tungsten one on 'ebay' - not that im necessarily getting it from there - i was just comparing styles and options
Will have a look for this palladium - havent heard of it before now

I LIke palladium- had a white gold wedding ring, kept losing colour even though quite new! So we had my original ring encased in palladium - it is beautiful, tough, quite heavy, of a substance if you like & we are really pleased with it...... not sure if it has a hallmark quite yet so go to a reputable jeweller and they will hallmark in the future when it has gained it's mark!

When fiance and I got engaged we bought each other rings. He does not wear rings but he swore he would wear an engagement ring,,, which nearly a year later hes true to his word. He wears it with pride...... Well come on if IM branded as * taken* by the rock on my finger its only fair blokes have the same! ( Minus the rock) LOL

Why wear a ring. You have to remember to take it off when your on the pull :0

STORA!! Dont you think we can tell the * fresh flesh* band where the ring should be!
It stands out as obvious as a nun in an ACDC concert!
The slight indentation and pale white skin is a dead give away!

and trust me, women on the pull look out for that sort of thing :P

I got my palladium one from hsamuel

I have titanium and it is very strong .it has a satin look through the middle which is scratching slightly but the shiny bits round the edge and underneath are scratchless.is also a lot cheaper than paladium as i was looking at them.

this is the one that i got it has gone down slightly since i bought it so is even better value for money.

Just in case anyone wondered - the decision has been made
Titanium it is - a plainish band with a couple of silver lines around it. Hopefully its the right one and the right size and he says yes and if all else fails they will exchange it for something for me!!!!!
