I bought an AMBX system out of tk maxx on 3/12/09 and now one of the speakers don't work.Hubs has tried everything and still nothing.I have hunted for the receipt all day and finally given up.I paid with cash so no proof of purchase-although I do still have the box with the pricing sticker on it.Do you think I could still get a refund?

I searched for answers prior to posting this but i just got hits about ones returning clothes without receipts or tags.Thought I would have a better chance as I have the pricing sticker.

Thanks will try CS in the morning as BB suggested and if I get nowhere I'll try philips thanks for the help.Rep on it's way.

I found this at the following website for the OP. pkc.gov.uk/NR/…pdf

"I have purchased some faulty goods, but I have lost the receipt. The trader says that without a receipt, I do not have any rights. Is he right?"

No! You do not have to produce a receipt in order to pursue a claim for faulty goods. However, under the law, you are required to prove that you purchased the product. Therefore, if you paid by cash, a receipt may be the only proof that you have.

Speakers themselves practically never break. You've probably just got a dry connection inside the speaker, so if all fails with TK Maxx, just crack it open and fix it. It'll take five minutes.

Just checked and the 'bad' speaker works when I switch them but the 'good' one doesn't if that makes sense.
