Recently i have been recieving emails from so called HSBC bank saying my account needs to be validated and another message saying if i dont reply it will lead to account suspension. Just be careful this is a scam and HSBC will not send you such emails for something like that i have had it checked out. WHAT EVER you do dont fall for this scam. They word it all out so sweetly. Just delete it from your inbox/junkbox dont mark it as safe.

Good, sound advice.

I had an email from HSBC today asking me to change my password and some account details, dont know how you thought you were getting scammed.

Brb, a Nigerian uncle just emailed me...

just keep an eye out on your transactions for the account info you have given. The messages that i got i showed a HSBC worker and they were not legit. Reply to them if you want.

yes, the old scammy trick, to lure you to a fake site to steal your details

if you get these, do not visit the site, do not open images, do not reply in anyway to the sender or use their unsubscribe link

just mark it as spam

only ever go to your bank website by typing it in properly, dont use any link from an email

Get emails all time. Abbey, RBS, LLoydsTSB and HSBC telling me my account will be terminated or they need me to confirm my details or update them.

Be good like if I was actually with them all but im only with Lloyds and its not as common I get the emails from them as it is from the other

lol

these are scams really!!!!!!!!!!

only been doing the rounds for about 10 years

if people are daft enough to fall for these things and paypal scammers/millionaires needing accounts to deposit money they deserve to be ripped off

Is it really that hard to check the URL that it asks you to click, and see that it is NOT from the said bank? Please...

you can always download the "Rapport" software from your hsbc online banking site

do people actually need to be warned about these emails? I get the all the time from various so called banks, no bank would ever ask you to change your details online

Because of the security of Chip'n'Pin, the crooks are turning to internet crime (BBC Five Live News today). Just look at the grammar in that message above! Alarm bells! Also put your cursor over any suspect link and you will see things like ebeycom.com. The safest thing is to shut your computer down and cancel your bank and internet access and never go online. You know it makes sense.

Oh come on, no-one deserves to be ripped off.
They are quite often elderly ladies and gentlemen that fall victim to this sort of thing or people with learning disabilities.

Let's hope you still have all your faculties about you when you become elderly.

Let's keep our money under the mattress and go back to bartering for stuff shall we? You're far more likely to be scammed by people trawling tour rubbish nd stealing your idendity than by banking online! We live in the 21st Century FGS!
