To all the mummies and daddies out there

whats the best things about parenting...........

was just thinking about it, cos my darling two year old,

asked very nicley "mummy lunch peze mummy",

i said "you wait her while mummy goes to make it for you"

came back she sat down to her table said "an-que"

then said "mummy get strapped peze mummy" (translation: mummy strap me in please")

    I did as she asked

and she looked at me in the eyes and just said "an-que mummy" and merrily eating her lunch now.

and that moment i just had an immense sence of pride, that she so smart and so well mannered and me and our family are the ones that taught her them values.

so today my favourite thing about being a parent..............

the knowledge that i am doing my best for her and contributing to the world by doing so

yeah i love it when tabatha comes for hugs. or make me kiss her. put her to bed other day and kissed her cheek as she was almost asleep, and she sat bolt up and said.

"mummy tiss mouth peze" i felt pretty loved then

yeah but different people are parents for different reasons (unfortunalty some are parents purely for the attention, or the love they give you, regardless of whether they show them the love in return_:cry:

thats so sweet that you feel that pride when he's 22. cos theyll always be your babies, and no matter what they do on their own merit, you gae them the foundations to be that person.

i remmebr when malachi was born, just looking at him and thinking im gonna give you the best i can and make you the best you can be. and that was when he was minutes old, its this huge responsability but it doesnt matter how scary that can be its just amazing.

i thank my mum that she stuck with it when we were angry teenagers and made sure we kept our amanners etc. we were far from perfect but we never lost respct for others, cept the odd lapse with our siblings and parents obvioulsy ha ha. i hope i can do as good job as she did it that sense:)

its sad that they needed to obvioulsy but shows what an amazing job you did that they were able and more importantly willing to that. no wonder your proud.

My son Freddie has recently started saying "You're welcome" after i say thanks and it is so cute my heart could melt.

I feel very proud of my 2 (most days lol). Always very polite and considerate to others even at age 3 and 6.

    Have some rep mummy.

true, ours is little later though so we get family time first:thumbsup:

I look forward to bedtime!!! Not for the obvious reasons but because I get to have 15 minutes 1-1 time with each of them (only 2!!) telling me about their day. It used to be a ploy to stay up later but now it's a bit of ritual and and we finish off with the best of hugs and never end the day on a bad note (well not often!!)

well i dont think iv always got it right and with no manual on "how to " it was a muddle at times but they are all pretty good kids and best of all no matter how they behave at home people always say they are polite elsewhere lol :-D

yeah thats what my nan says is important ha ha. tabs can have her moments at home but she's a little angel when she's out. though she's pretty good compared to ther kids her age, cos she went through the terrible two's early and we stood our ground, and she's come out the other side of it already and 80% of time is a darling.

its trial and error alot of the time with being a parent, same as relationships and life in general. noone is perfect, and no child responds the same to certain ways. x

My 7 month old is currently emptying my dvd cabinet, i feel an immense sense of pride picking them all back up.....NOT lol
