My friend is a member of this group. They send out newsletter and have details of tortoises available - they also rehome them - might be worth a look.

I have one. I have just given him your address. He should be with you in about 15 years time. Well, at least he will be fit!

thanks all very much think i have it sorted now :-D

They sell them in the reptile shop in Belfast, I can't remeber the name of the street it's on but it's just off Great Victoria Street, near the traffic lights and where everything goes into a one way system. There's a cookery shop there too, and it's near the Venue.

I think that is to just adopt a tortoise and it seems a bit risky that site anyway. got any info on that site?

As being a previous owner of a Sonora Desert tortoise in America I would love to Actually adopt Yes I mean adopt a tortoise because that is what I did in America I didn't get forced into paying stupid ridiculous amounts of money for a hatchling or a 6 year tortoise so if there is anyone out there that is serious enough not stupid enough to please give me a website where I can actually adopt a tortoise and give a home that most children don't get or care that I know children don't get then please could you let me know via my email address but there is no excuse on this site for stupidity so please save it for yourselves, and please don't give me that trust .org one either I should not be forced to pay for a membership to give an animal a home. Many thanks
