Anybody seen any reviews for this also ? I cant find any proper reviews but it seems as though it should be a good tv.

Seems like a good price at the moment. Cant seem to find any cheaper.

Which magazine are testing this TV as we speak and the results are due out by the end of December. In their LCD test it was swamped by best buys from Panasonic and Sony although two Toshiba ones got best buy and I detail the results below.

    Toshiba Regza 37C3030D
    BEST BUY

This Toshiba c-series IDTV is an HD ready, 37-inch LCD. While the slightly soft picture quality isn't up to the standard of the Panasonic LCD range, it's well above average. Picture wise the pricier x-series Toshiba is better for watching high definition broadcasts.

However, sound quality is well up to scratch and it boasts a nice array of sockets. As Panasonic LCD TVs are currently only available up to 32-inches in size (although word is, this is about to change) Toshiba are worth a look if you're looking for a larger screen.

The standard picture isn't bad, if a little soft. HD pictures are also slightly soft but lack the depth of the x-series and are a touch grainy.

It also supports 1080p/24 - this is the marginally higher quality high-definition signal used by high definition DVD players. By refreshing the screen at 24 frames per second it matches the frame rate recorded on high definition DVD players and avoids some of the motion problems we've seen on other HD-ready TVs (see FAQ and features explained).

The sound fared better although clarity could be better on upper-mid frequencies.

The nicely designed remote is well laid out and on-screen menus are easy to navigate but usability-wise it's somewhat let down by a cluttered unresponsive electronic programme guide (EPG).

The TV has two Scart sockets, one with AV Link enabled but only one with RGB. It also has two HDMI sockets for connecting to high definition equipment, located at the rear of the set and facing down - not the most accessible position.

There are handy side AV input sockets for connection to portable devices and a headphone output jack, which mutes the TV speakers.

The TV also has stereo and digital coaxial audio output sockets for connection to a hi-fi and home cinema system respectively.

The stereo audio sockets are inconveniently located at the rear under the screen.

A coordinating pedestal stand is supplied but the TV can be wall mounted if a suitable bracket is purchased.

    Pros: Decent sound

    Cons: EPG, badly positioned sockets

    Toshiba Regza 37X3030D
    BEST BUY

This super-high resolution top of the range HD ready, 37-inch LCD TV features an integrated Freeview tuner. It is also one of the first TVs on the market that works properly with high definition DVDs - although it's not quite as good as some of the sony and Panasonic models we've tested.

Both sound and pictures are pretty good making it a worthy Best Buy, despite some usability niggles. If you're interested in high definition go for this model ahead of the Toshiba c-series.

There is a slight pink tint and some colour banding but problems are only minor and overall it looked realistic. Freeview pictures look good and HD boasts great depth and detail.

Sound quality also gets the thumbs up. It lacks some clarity but still sounds pretty good when listening to jazz tracks – probably our most telling test.

The nicely designed remote is well laid out and on-screen menus are easy to navigate but it's somewhat let down by a cluttered unresponsive electronic programme guide (EPG).

Pros: Decent picture and sound, full HD compatibility
