I'm struggling to find insurance quotes for a Toyota estima 2003 as it is an import car. Anyone suggest anyone? I've tried all comparison sites and some private companies but cheapest I've been quoted is just under £3000 which is way more then I can pay! Anyone?

Have you tried Adrian Flux? They were very good when I had my MX5 import.

Yep they won't do it as they say it's basically too old..
That's disappointing. Guess a broker could be your best option. I used Aplan many years ago.
have you had a look on the toyota estima owners website ithey may be able to help good luck

You could try Graham Sykes.
I used skyinsurance as a broker they insured me with a company that specialised in imports and literally halved my insurance at the time
Try Greenlight

Aplan won't insure either they said it's an 8 seater and I'm in london etc
I often used Privilege with my 1990 MX5 (Eunos Roadster)... not sure if they cover imports now as this was a few years ago.
The Estima is a pretty old mpv now, similar to the Previa, but smaller all around.

You might ask National Farmers Union Insurance (NFU); they were the only people we could find to insure the Previas when they first appeared.

£3K, either its made of gold, or you are 17 on a provisional !! Silly money for a vehicle worth perhaps £500-£750.
We have had Toyota imports for last 12 yrs insured through Direct Line.

Cars which were insured that many years ago had no problem going through comparison sights etc but they've stopped all that now!

£3-5K, thats silly money; you are better off buying a 2nd generation Previa diesel from the UK.

Although personally I prefer the 1st generation, my first one (H reg) did over 250k with only one breakdown, and still drove like new when I sold it.

K got a quote half of what I was originally quoted so thanks and will see if I can get any cheaper still
I used a company called Hyperformance once too if that helps. Took me a while to drag that name out of the out grey matter!
Our Isuzu bighorn (which is an import) is insured with direct line and the insurance was around the £250 mark in July, guess premiums would have gone up a bit since then also have over 9 years no claims bonus which helps.
