    Trade Services - Ever used them or heard of them?

    Was looking for some aftershave (Boss in motion 90ml) and cheapest I could find was from a site Trade Services but I've never heard of them (company address is in Bulgaria).

    I was going to post as a deal as the price is £29.79 delivered, next cheapest is fragrance shop at £32.39 with most other retailers selling it for around £40+.

    Don't want to post then have the deal taken down as the retailer is not approved.

    They seem to sell loads of different items - not just fragrances.

    Anyone heard of them and ever used them? - Link below to the Boss product on their site.

    Read their T&C's, you may well pay more than the listed price.

    I would avoid them.

    I ordered a perfume that is harder to find anymore, one month ago, and still waiting..
    They charged me twice for the item. Then they refunded me the wrong charge, and in my question why is taking too long,
    they told me it take 18 buis. days..
    I'm still waiting.

    Same as nk1982 perfume ordered 23rd july not arrived yet. contacted them 10 days ago and told to wait 28 days, still nothing arrived. I can only hope it does arrive.... eventually!

    Had very similar issue to nk1982 and cannylass. Ordered some aftershave under Economy "7-9 working days" but after 12 working days I was told I'd have to wait 18 working days. This is the 19th working day and I'm still waiting. Would seriously tell everyone you know to avoid these people. Who knows if I'll ever get my product (or a refund if I request one!)

    Avoid this company like the plague. Ordered 4 items from them on 6 July, contacted them four weeks later to find out if my order was on its way, excuses given was postal delay due to Olympics. 2 items arrived on 17 August and nothing since. Contacted them to ask where rest of order was and was told 2 separate parcels were sent out on different days. Many e-mails later they sent me the Royal Mail reference numbers, one was for the parcel I had received and the other one was for someone in Chiswick, I live in Scotland. Informed them of this and told them to check with Royal Mail but as I didn't trust them to do this (which they didn't) decided to do this myself. Sent the reply to them from Royal Mail which confirmed that this parcel wasn't for me. I have asked them to re-send the goods I have paid for or to refund my money as technically this is theft and the reply was that this is all the information they can give me. After 25 e-mails I am not holding my breath.

    Just thought I'd update... my package finally arrived. Only a few weeks late, but for people still waiting keep the (ever so slight) faith! Call them on 020 8133 8559 and insist they give a Royal Mail tracking ref - this did take me 2 calls to achieve; the first of which they said they had no tracking ref since I chose 'Economy' delivery, but I called again the following day, spoke to someone else who readily gave me a tracking ref.

    I had a similiar experience. I purchased perfume 18 August and i am still waiting for it. Firstly i did not realise the company was based in Bulgaria so was charged an extra 1.50GBP conversion fee, no longer making this the cheapest shop to buy from. I contacted them after the perfume did not arrive and was told to wait 18 days, when i contacted them after this period i was directed to the terms and conditions and told that i paid economy so it was my problem. I have contacted them twice since requesting proof of postage and i am still waiting.
    I am very dissapointed with this service and i would not reccomend anyone use it. I wish i had of checked reviews here first.

    We were stung by Trade Services to the tune of around £180 - we ordered 2 lots of perfume which did not arrive after 35 days. We phoned Trade services and got no joy at all in fact they were out and out rude, they put the phone down. I have been in touch with our bank and requested a "Chargeback" this is a process which allows you to ask the card provider (credit OR debit card) to reverse a transaction. As in the case of everyone in this forum, there has been a breach of contract. The bank refunded my money and it appeared back in my account within a day. The onus is then placed on the merchant (Trade Services) to prove that the goods have arrived. They get 60 days to provide this proof, if they cannot, the case is closed.

    This despicable company should be banned. They are thieves. Promising goods within 18 working days, and, never forthcoming . How many thousands of pounds do they extract from people's accounts ? They are rude and hang up when you call them. What can be done ?

    ordered some cartier aftershave for my sons birthday on 24 sept . money has gone out of my account. havent got it yet. phoned 020 number. spoke to girl called aria .she said it would arrive in 18 working days from 27 sept. she assured me it would defo come. it a waiting game. i may contact the fraud section of my bank if it doesnt come soon .what a worry all this is . i am over 60 and a pensioner. i dont need the stress of iot all. fingers crossed it comes. she made the excuse it was late because i had chosen economy delivery.

    Don't use them please. They are scammers. Check out scamadviser.com/che…org for more fed up and ripped off people. They take your order, but don't deliver. Their customer service is nothing but a way to tell you to, "go away" in a nice way. Don't become another of their victims please.

    after numerous complaint about not receiving my Prada aftershave,it finaly came today.
    It's complete joke.Fake on the first sight,smell different as well. box with print missalighned,bottle has a sticker
    on it made on copier,lid-cheap plastick and damaged.
    Wish I have not sighned for it to mailman,as I wanted to call mastercard to reverse the payment.Now when it is open,no returns.
    They know they are scammer,cos I have e-mailed them link to this comments.

    Everyone needs to know. This website is a TOTAL SCAM.
    They will fob you off saying its the post and give it 18 days.
    Then when your goods DONT arrive they will tell you you CANNOT have a refund as your order was economy post and NOT INSURED.

    Further to my comment (#8), I can agree with comment #18 - my aftershave is certainly not the real product.
    I am glad a few people have managed to either receive their product eventually, or at least got some money back via their bank. As comment #19 says, tell everyone you know!

    Ordered perfume for my wife from our 12 year old son on 1st October 2012, I paid the extra P&P for fast delivery, they stated 5 working days. When it got to a week, past her birthday, I emailed the company to be told there did not do fast delivery; I sent them the extact text from their website but never got a reply. Today, 22nd October, the perfume arrived, my wife opened the present from our son to find it was fake.

    Please check website / company reviews before purchasing good, and if anyone is reading this comment, then please do not buy anything from this website, I know we all want a bargain but reading the previous comments and from my own experience, it's not worth taking the risk, especially not with Trade Services for sure.

    Only read all this after ordering a difficult to find fragrance. I must have hit lucky as I received exactly what I paid for, albeit a few days late. No return address or packing note in a barely wrapped parcel but at least I got it!

    Well I finally got my perfume, a gift from my parents, IT IS A FAKE. Wrong colour box, rubbish phoney seal, perfume is completely the wrong colour and last but not least, it does not smell like flowerbomb. What a rip off, my poor mother is distraught. Do not buy from these people

    I ordered Dolce and Gabbana perfume from Trade Services, it eventually came but the perfume inside had been leaking the bottle was half empty. When i contacted them via the website by email i was told that they were not responsible for damage during delivery and to take the complaint up with Royal Mail. The outer packaging was intact and not at all damaged so obviously some cop out scam that Trade Services use so as they dont have to give you your money back or replace items. I have now contacted my banks complaints department and will never use Trade Services again....

    Don't use this company! My Fragrance arrived within 18 days. I have no doubt that it has been tampered with. It had leaked everywhere - a complete and utter FAKE!!

    Same than a lot of people above. Ordered perfume on 30 sept and still not received it. Have been asked to wait 18 days, then told that ther was some transit delays. Am emailing them every day but still nothing and they refuse to reimburse while the item is in transit...last answer yesterday is that they will contact post office again...Scam...don't order from them..

    just used them. oh dear.should have checked up first.had to phone my bank and get them to monitor my acc.And change debit car for protection.wont be holding my breath on delivery.it just goes to show you get what you pay for........

    Just looking to buy some Tom Ford Black Orchid from these guys , couldn't believe it was nearly £35 cheaper than most places , i can see why now . Thanks for all the negative comments , i'm gunna stay well clear !!

    Look at their website they spell Jewellery incorrectly .They
    should be investigated because they are taking money under

    I ordered an item which took 18 days to arrive, was poorly packaged and the perfume they sent me had leaked and it isnt authentic perfume - IT WAS FAKE. I have only just seen these comments and will now do my best to spread the word around the net to make sure anyone else does not buy from them, I wish I had looked up the company before I bought from them, really disappointed.

    If everyone who has sadly made the mistake of using this company and been ripped off by them were to report this to Trading Standards then we can all collectively get the site closed down, I will also be reporting them to Watchdog as in the lead up to Christmas I want to make as many people as possible aware of their illegal activities, otherwise they will continue trading and ripping people off.

    This is illegal. The distance selling regs cannot be contracted out of. The law protects the consumer here. This is a European Directive, so all companies in the Eurozone have to adhere to it.

    Whether the goods have arrived or not, you have the right to cancel the contract. Once you have informed them of this they have to refund you within 30 working days.

    Here is the relevant legistlation guys. Good luck.

    Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000
    Right to cancel
    Under the Regulations a consumer can cancel a distance contract at any time during the "cancellation period" by notifying this intention to the supplier in writing. At times this is also referred to as the "cooling-off period".
    A contract which is cancelled must be treated as if it had never been entered into by the consumer. For example, if the consumer has entered into a credit agreement in order to purchase the goods, that agreement must also be cancelled at the same time as the distance contract.
    In both contracts for the sale of goods and contracts for the supply of services the cancellation period begins on conclusion of the contract. However, the duration of the cancellation period varies depending on the stage at which the written confirmation and additional information is provided. The earlier the information is provided, the shorter the cancellation period will be. The following is an outline of the various cancellation periods that may arise:
    Cancellation periods for goods
    • where written confirmation and additional information is provided before or at the time of delivery of the goods, the cancellation period is 7 working days beginning with the day after the day on which the goods are delivered;
    • where the written confirmation and additional information is provided after the goods are delivered but within a period of three months beginning with the day after the day on which the goods are delivered, the cancellation period will end after 7 working days beginning with the day after the day on which the written confirmation and additional information is provided;
    o Example: the written confirmation and additional information is provided to a new customer three weeks after he placed an order. The cancellation period will be 7 working days from the day after the date the written confirmation was provided.
    • where the obligation to give written confirmation and additional information is not fulfilled within three months beginning with the day after the day on which the goods are delivered, the cancellation period ends after three months and 7 working days from the day after the day on which the goods are delivered.
    Exceptions to the right to cancel
    Unless the parties have agreed otherwise, the consumer will not have the right to cancel in respect of certain distance contracts. This applies to the following contracts:
    • for the provision of services, if the performance of the contract has begun with the consumer's consent before the end of the cancellation period and the supplier has provided the written confirmation and additional information (including information that the cancellation rights will end as soon as performance of the contract begins);
    • for the supply of goods or services which are priced according to fluctuations in the financial market and cannot be controlled by the supplier;
    • for the supply of goods which by means of their nature cannot be returned (e.g. personalised goods) or are likely to deteriorate or expire rapidly (e.g. dairy products);
    • for the supply of audio or video recordings or computer software which were unsealed by the consumer;
    • for the supply of newspapers, periodicals or magazines; or
    • for gaming, betting or lottery services.
    In September 2006, a guide for businesses on distance selling (48-page / 127KB PDF) was issued jointly by the Office of Fair Trading and the Department of Trade and Industry (which later became the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills). That guidance states that administrative or other preparatory work (such as setting up an account) cannot be equated to the carrying out of a service. This may impact on the right of businesses to say that the provision of a service has begun and therefore cannot be cancelled.

    Refunds
    On the cancellation of a contract, any sum paid by the consumer must be repaid as soon as possible and, in any case, within 30 days of cancellation. The full price paid for the goods must be refunded and this includes the cost of delivery of the goods to the consumer.
    In certain circumstances the supplier may charge the consumer for the cost of the supplier recovering the goods (e.g. where the consumer fails to return them). To do so, the contract must specify that the consumer is under an obligation to return the goods if he or she cancels the contract and the consumer gets notice of this in advance as part of the written confirmation relating to the right to cancel. The costs cannot be passed on to the consumer where the goods are returned because they are faulty or do not comply with the contract for some other reason.
    Where the supplier wishes to send substitute goods (e.g. where the original goods ordered are not in stock, but similar goods are available), the supplier must have provided for the possibility of sending substitute goods in its contract and in the case of the consumer cancelling the contract and returning the goods, the supplier must bear the cost of such return.
