Train delay repay.

Just heard this today while traveling Transpeninne. If your train is delayed by over 30 minutes you can claim 50% refund via the website. Over an hour and you get 100% back. Worth knowing for all rail users.

These are paid in theory only. The train companies steal all the train delay and compensation for their own profit . Unless there is major disaster or cancellation they do not pay anything . If you go to ask for 30 minutes delay compensation , they refuse it on one pretext or the other.

Same with my husband and daughter on that line , they have always received payouts, although I'm not sure if they are paid at 50%/100% , oddly they can put in for delays of the same time and receive different refunds.
