Travel Insurance

Hi
I'm looking at getting travel insurance, worldwide, multi trips, unlimited medical for one year , no pre existing illness and we're both under 50.
After reading the horror story's about Insure and go and virgin travel, I'm at a lost as to who I should get travel insurance from.
Does anyone have a travel insurance company they have made a claim and still use?
I don't want to travel abroad and worry if my insurance will cover me and my lad or not.
Thank you

We get it by paying for our Barclays bank account. Made 2 claims on it in the past 5 years for doctors whilst we've been away and had the money in the bank within a couple of daya
Moneysupermarket cheapest by a mile
LV.

(I think it was) Which did a review not long ago and came up with a new relevant rating. 'When do you have to notify the insurer of a condition'. LV only want to know if you are referred to a specialist. Most want to know as soon as you see the quack.

I am now battling age related crumbling and have just asked the quack for a list of things to tell LV. He told me that in the last year, he has been asked for records of illness in light of a claim and several times, failure to disclose the simplest of visits has cost the claimant a rejected claim.
This is my worry, i don't want to go abroad thinking im insured, then bang my parents have to deal with any thing.Touch wood, ive never had to submit a claim, but im off to China next year and my lad is going back to Ireland for a week without me, this year. So i want insurance that isn't going to look into mine or his medical from five years ago to wriggle out if something goes wrong. I was with insure and go, but their review's are shocking and virgin isn't any better.

This is not the cheapest but I use AA for worldwide travel insurance and have had 3 claims in the last 2 years. One for broken iPhone and camer and another for missing a flight due to Hurricane Imra. Both times money was in my account a week after sending them the requested info. They were a pleasure to deal with and felt like they actually wanted to help rather than not pay out on a claim. If you are also a AA breakdown cover holder then there are no excesses for any claims! Hope that helps.
