Why don't you try a comparison website?

not bothered about price. did that last time and got cheap but crap insurance and ended up not being covered or having to jump through all sorts so we didnt bother going through with the claim. going away with 3 lil kiddies i want decent travel insurance with which i feel safe. cant get that from a PRICE comparison site. thanks though

really depends on small print a few cases on watchdog the other week some caes covered others wernt

Travel Insurance Web always seems to do well, has some awards, on the MSE website saying it's good cover and cheap too. Cashback as well.

cool. thanks for that as well

I usually get annual from travel insurance from moneysupermarket.com. Never had to claim (touch wood) so can't advise how good it is. Less than £40 for a family of 4 and I have complete piece of mind.

i had travel insurance from the post office the last time i was abroad. a bag we had was stolen when we were on an excursion to cairo which had the return tickets to sharm in my camera and other bits and bobs.
we made a claim when we got home and they were very fast at paying out BUT they charged so many excesses for me (and my then husband) that we barely got anything back

Whilst you are correct, that's easier said than done. The 10 pages of small print are often difficult to comprehend as it's written in solicitor speak.

I thought we'd have been covered for our recent delays when our flights eventually took off a week late from Singapore. The doc's said we had £30 per 12 hours pp cover for each person (there were 4 of us), which would have been a nice sum to get back. Yet we got nothing. "you are not covered for acts of God", which frankly is BS as I know (being an aethiest) that guy is a myth and they are lying to me!

Annoyingly, I was going to take the insurance offered by my bank First Direct. Of only I had. They proudly displayed on their website they were covering for Volcation delays.

im looking at the same too, looking on comparison sites they will pay £200 per single item, my video camera and DSLR are worth over £1k, will look at post office too.
